This salon not only gave me the WORST cut I've had in 10 years, but overcharged me for it (it was a simple fix which turned into a chopped salad) then LIED about calling me back. This, after I took the time to GO IN for the 3rd time discuss the issue-- a refund. Do NOT go here. They're unskilled liars.Initially, I walked in asking to address ONE wayward layer. I mentioned my previous cut was in U shape and I thought it would benefit from more of a V shape. But, I wanted to get the opinion of a professional. ONE layer was bothering me. ONE. I was armed with photos of both myself & examples. 2 stylists looked at my hair and said "it looks like it should take a few minutes". The other told me my stylist "Didn't FINISH the haircut" and I should follow her back (flinging a cape at me). She told me she was going to cut it dry (another issue she had w my previous stylist). However, this doesn't help when extremely short layers are cut in the BACK. The next aspect would be funny if it wasn't so nuts. I showed her exactly how high someone else had cut my shortest layer. She told me she'd have to address the issue in the back in order to fix the layer that was bothering me. I had no clue this meant an entirely different style. The other girl up front kept coming by coaching her what to do with it (in the back where I couldn't see). "I think it needs more texture", "should I add one in here?". When she was finished I didn't know what to say. I kept holding up the only layer I came in to fix!! STUNNED. A word I'd also use when I was asked to pay $80. The owner tried to help blend it but there's no bringing back the beautiful long layer in the front. This is something I've always had-- even with an extreme V cut. If they even take the time to respond, I'm sure they'll claim I asked for a V cut (which I didn't -- I asked for a layer to be addressed). I don't know how they can explain not calling me back after I walked over there to speak with someone about a refund.

    Business response

The client walked in frantic with concerns of her haircut, which was performed by another hair salon, prior to her visit to bluebell. We informed her that we would do our best to assist her in touching up her haircut and style as she preferred. The client seemed very anxious and fidgety. We attempted to calm her with refreshments and reassurance. Once the haircut was complete, she was very pleased initially, paid then walked out happily out of the salon (the price was clear to her before the service time). An hour later, she came back disturbed and replied she doesnt feel pretty and comfortable with her look. Our owner came in to further assist and did two additional minor adjustments to her hairstyle. A few days later, she came back demanding a refund which was provided to her. We were very concerned with her mental state as her energy was very strong and demanding. We wished her the best in hopes she would feel better. We hope all is well. If there are any more questions and concerns please let us know. We will be more than happy to assist.
