Our company signed a contract on November 19, 2021 with MFP Management & Construction, LLC to build-out a less than 700 SF office space with a total cost of $63,810. Project was estimated to be completed by mid April 2022. The project's completion date was pushed back several times and MFP Management & Construction claimed that the delay were due to scheduling issues as well as increased labor and material costs. We provided additional funds in good faith to compensate for the increased costs and most importantly, for the project to be completed. By November 9, 2022 - we have paid MFP a total amount of $126,464 (98% of original cost) and the final agreed upon completion date was December 2, 2022. By December 23, 2022, the entire construction was still not completed at all. In addition, the work that were completed such as paint job, ceiling installation, floor tiling, etc. were poorly done. The paint material used for the doors were even prohibited in the county where the office is located. The ceiling grid had to be removed because they were installed incorrectly and therefore, new sets were purchased and installed. Additional expenses were incurred. Bottom line, MFP Management & Construction LLC took our money but did not complete the job as promised. We hired a new company to complete the construction. On January 26, 2023, MFP promised to refund us $41,413 in 4 installments within 4 months. This was for specific work that were not completed or not started at all, materials paid for already and to cover some of the expenses incurred due to repair work. As of March 27, 2023 - we have not received any refund at all. We even gave MFP additional time as requested, which resulted to the due date for the first payment being rescheduled 3 times. We have filed a lawsuit against MFP Management & Construction, LLC.

We have contacted Antonio M******** (MFP General Contractor) several times to resolve this matter. On January 26, 2023 - Antonio M******** had agreed, in writing, to refund us (4 installments starting February 2023) what we have already paid for certain jobs and materials within the signed contract that were NOT done or completed at all. By the end of March 2023, we have NOT received the 1st installment of the refund at all. We have even extended the due date for the 1st installment 3 times as per MFP's request. We eventually had to hire legal counsel to assist us with this matter and we filed a lawsuit. As per our written agreement, the full refund amount of $41,413 should have been paid by May 2023. As of June 25, 2023 we have NOT received any refunds at all. The lawsuit is still pending and court date has been scheduled.
