I've been waiting for a delivery I called for 12 days ago.I ask them to come before it snowed because of my driveway, and she said they would try to bump me up.Well they never showed up .My husband and I have been using electric heaters for almost 2 weeks to save the little bit of gas we have. Our furnace actually froze up the other morning and had to get Thompson Best to come out and fix it for me.I called them 4 times trying to get gas.Well it snowed ,I paid someone to plow my driveway and put some salt down now their telling me they can't get up my driveway.Everyone else gets up my driveway,my car gets up my driveway. We go through this every winter with this company. Now they say they can't come up for 4 more days.which will be 15 days since I called. I'm on 10%..,,running electric heaters for weeks my electric bill is going to be a good one. I think it's time for a change. There's nothing but a little snow left on my driveway, maybe they should find some better drivers ,or get some 4 wheel drive trucks for people that don't live in town. They make sure they get their money on time but don't care if their customers freeze.

A one star would be kind. I’ve been a customer of Scully Propane for over 20 years. Once Thompson purchased Scully it’s been nothing but a nightmare. I scheduled a delivery on January 2 2025. As of January 22 nd and after four calls they said they have no clue when they could deliver After shopping around I switched companies and cancelled my account with them and they said they would be happy to cancel it. I’ve always paid immediately after delivery. Terrible company

First of all we bought our house 5 years ago and they tried to tell us that we owe for the gas that was in the tank the previous owner owed it then we've had three gas leaks we've had a tank switched out and the driver told us that he would give us anything over the 40% that we had in the tank they bring a tank out it had 55%, then they charged us for the 15% now they want to charge us $3.99 a gallon for propane the going rate is $3.33 then they want to charge us a $20 for not using 250 gallons in our tank it's a 325 gallon tank we filled it up two years ago they were only fill it up to 80% we bought 100 gallons last year and it moved it the gauge only 20% I would not recommend their service to anyone

Do not take the time to call in the summer to lock in your price, a waste of time. I locked my price for the upcoming winter in July for the several tanks we have, I called in October to receive the gas and they refused to honor the July pricing (I have an email from them in July stating what they would do). My advice, shop around and look for a reputable company.

We used Associated propane for our residential propane tank here in #sonomacounty for many years. It was a smooth, good experience; they would come fill propane tank, charge card on file and all was a consistent positive customer experience until it wasn’t. Associated propane sold-out to big corp. Thompson Gas, which was the beginning of the end for us and many of our neighbors. Around March 2024 Thompson Gas un-enrolled all credit card auto-pay accounts to force those customers to re-enroll and signature accept their new “policy” that included charging customers a 1.99% fee for those using a credit card for payment. In the State of California it’s ?????????????? to charge customers any sort of processing fee for customers who use a credit card for payment. Of course, Thompson gas phrases the fee as a “convenience” fee to shift around State laws. However, what they are doing under the guise of “convenience fee” is still illegal, using certain words doesn’t mitigate the harm they are doing to customers. A "convenience fee" Is a fee that merchants are allowed to charge ???????? if credit cards were not their primary method of payment and they are making an exception for their customer, a ”convenience” allowing/accepting a credit card as a non-standard payment. Associated propane required credit cards as a primary payment method for years, when Thompson Gas took over they incorporated the same payment processing method. Credit card payments have been their primary method they are not making any new “convenience” for their customers, hence they are not entitled to receive “convenience fee” for credit card payments. Further, they don’t itemize that fee on your invoice! They just add it to the total when charging your credit card and send you an invoice that omits the “convenience fee”. Besides harming customers with the illegal fee, they continue their libelous behavior by failing to comply with transparency merchant laws

Thompson Gas was servicing my home in Holly Springs NC. I moved and there was a large amount of propane gas still in the tank. The tank was rented and the new home owner connected to natural gas from the city after I moved. Thompson Gas and Oil told me they could not refund my propane because they charged me over $300 to come get their tank and take the propane out of it. What a bunch of crooks. I will burn wood in my oven before I ever do business with these thieves again

Awful company. I purchased my home 9 years ago. Didn’t hear a thing. I saw a guy wondering around my yard and threatening to take my take. I asked him for proof of contract he left. Office called. I asked for proof of contract. Nothing. They sent a bill 5-1-24 I called and emailed asking for a proof of contract. On 5-24-24 they finally sent me a copy dated 2008. Threatens to take my tank. Same day I received a notice from a collection company. All I wanted was proof before paying a bill. My legal right. So in 30 days they sent me a bill. Sent it to collections. Sent me a late fee. Finally sent the copy of contract 24 days later and all they do is threaten to take my tank. I can’t believe this kind of business tactics. Do not use them.

It has been 12 days since propane was ordered and paid for but we still have not received the propane. Thompson Gas delivered to a customer that lives 5 miles from us, why could they not deliver ours on the same trip? We called Friday the 19th and we told that we were scheduled for delivery on Sunday 21st but then we called on the 21st and was told we're not scheduled for Sunday! We told that she would "try to move us up the list"! We locked our price in back in the summer so it seems the customers that are paying the higher price amount are the ones being served before the customers locked into the lower rate. Why is it we are out of gas but customers that paid $125 additional charge and living 5 miles away from us were delivered propane and we were not? This company does not deserve even a one star rating! Why did they wait until a severe cold weather event to realize they don't have a plan!? Why do they not service areas instead of a list that keeps being revised and changed? Management knew a week ahead of time that severe weather was coming but did nothing to prepare for it. Now they have numerous people, some elderly, scared, out of gas and cold. Thanks Thompson Gas for your inferior service and management.
