I purchased Shaw Industries flooring from my local Menards about three years ago. Just lately parts of it started separating. I contacted Menards and they gave me a form to fill out and they sent it to Shaw Industries Claim dept. Shaw sent a independent floor inspector that they hired and then they denied the claim and said it was installed wrong. This is a perfect way of them getting out of a 25 year warranty. Why not say life time, they know they are not going to ever do anything when their floor fails. This flooring should never been sold without a disclaimer it is not suitable for a kitchen, laundry and bathroom all connected because there are way to may "Pinch" points. Refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and triolet all lock the tiles down causing floor failure. I have this same flooring in three other bathrooms with no issues. This is because there are no heavy items on top of the floor. The flooring should have a disclaimer not to install product in kitchen, or under washer dryer, etc.

On December 2019 our brand-new home was delivered by Lennar, we moved on December 23rd. During the first couple of months, we noticed that the image layer of the laminate flooring installed in the house started peeling, I also noticed that several of the planks were touched up with a glue or potty which started wearing off and showing the cardboard or fine layer of plywood of the planks. This issue was brought up to the builder, Lennar scheduled the company that installed the flooring to inspect the planks, they agreed to replace them. Due to COVID-19 they came in June 23, 2020, where the company replaced some of the planks that were peeling but did not replace the ones that had the potty/glue on the planks. On July 19th, 2020, I requested that the supervisor of the flooring company inspected the defective flooring planks, the supervisor of the flooring company came on September 19, 2020 stated that the flaws in the flooring were manufacturer defects and agreed to replace the defective flooring planks, a third-party company was also scheduled to inspect the flooring few weeks later, at the end the flooring company authorized to replace the planks. The flooring company came the first week of December 2020 not all the planks were replaced because they did not have enough material when they came to replace them, TAC the flooring installing company has a terrible customer. service. From December May 16th, 2021 to July 14th I went back and forth with Lennar to get the flooring replaced by then more planks started peeling. The flooring was ordered on August 23rd 2021, the installers did not show up on 10/15/2021, they were rescheduled for 2/17/2022 did not show up, On 3/4/2022 the flooring company installed the wrong floor planks. The box states is the same as the ones we have in the house but clearly are not, the planks that were installed on 3/4/2022 started peeling on 3/18/2022. My house looks like a chess board and no action has been taken to correct this issue.
