  We live in a residential area with reserved spots. Came home late tonight, no spots open and our reserved spot was taken. Called the number on the towing sign in our neighborhood and the guy that answered refused to help us. He asked for the name of the property, there is no name, it's a townhouse neighborhood in Columbia. No matter what answer we gave it was wrong. He was very rude to us and refused to be of any help, we had the address, license plate, name of our HOA and property management and all he said was "No whats the name of the property" he did not want to help. Kept hanging up on us and stopped answering after awhile. Made an already stressful situation worse, had to park 2 neighborhoods away on a cold night!!!

  My vehicle was towed without cause on 2-14-2023 around 8pm. I had attempted to discuss this issue with JoAnne Hager from Tidewater Property Management around 8am on 2-15-2023. I’d left her a voicemail however it’s now after 5pm and she never returned my phone call. My wife and I went to K & R Towing after 8am to retrieve the car. Upon arrival I was denied the ability to pay using a credit card. The woman was very rude and told me to go to the ATM to get cash or I wouldn’t be able to get the vehicle. I called Howard County Police immediately. 2 minutes into the call the K & R employee had a change of heart and decided to allow me to use a credit card. Once inside of the tow yard I saw that my front license plate had been removed from the car. I asked the man who had opened the gate what happened and he said he didn’t know. I asked the woman who had behaved in an unprofessional manner what happened and she said that she didn’t know. I simply responded by telling her “I figured you would tell me that!.” The license plate was definitely attached to the vehicle prior to the illegal tow last evening. I want to know who was responsible for this immediately. I want a refund for $165.00 and I want my license plate returned back to me. This is unacceptable!

  This towing company illegally towed my car and did not follow any of the Maryland laws related to towing. First, when asked who authorized their tow, they would only respond with the restaurant name, a restaurant which is permanently closed and no longer there. Second, there was no notification to me that my car had been towed. Third, no picture of my vehicle was taken before towing my vehicle from the location and hence, no signs by my car to indicate that it should have not been parked there. They refused to answer any questions and hung up on me when I asked for answers. Thus, I paid $190 dollars for the release of my vehicle due to their illegal tow.
