  We lived at cutty sark road for 3 years, never paid rent late, were respectful to the property as well as the property management, never causing any issues. As requested by century real estate, we provided 30 days written notice that we would be moving out on 5/31/22. Since there was no walkthrough performed upon receiving the keys, we wanted to make sure we were present for this final walkthrough since there was no baseline to establish blame for any damages. We sent 4 emails requesting a walk through, several phone calls and voicemails dating back as early as the end of April, 2022. The lack of response from century real estate was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful. Before we moved out, they offered us a two year lease for being such great tenants. You would think that great tenants would deserve the benefit of the doubt and be allowed to be present for the walkthrough. It wasn't until 6/15/22 that I heard from Max Mezi, he stated that the walkthrough had been completed and we discussed a list of damages. I responded by sending back pictures of our lease discussing all normal wear and tear damages such as carpet cleaning and painting. I went out of my way to maintain and keep the house tidy. It is important to note that we paid a non refundable pet deposit and paid a monthly pet rent of $35 for one dog. That monthly pet rent totals over more than $1200 and they still decided to charge us for spot treatment when this was supposed to be covered under our lease. Per max, our security deposit was $1399 after accruing interest. I have written confirmation that total damages would be $272.06. That would bring the security deposit that we were to receive to $1126.94. I just received said check and it was in the amount of $917.50 so $209.44 are missing and need to understand why. I strongly discourage anyone from renting one of their properties. This business portrays horrible communication, deceitfulness and should not be taking advantage of a great tenant.
