Since we needed gutter protection from nearby tree needles, I contracted with Gutter Helmet to put their product on our house in 2019. As per their sales person, video, and advertising, we were shown and told that if the helmets purchased did not perform as shown, they would fix the issue. Ever since the first rain we had after installation, their product has not done what was promised. The issue we had was that the fir needles that fell on the roof and helmets did not blow off with the wind and did not wash off with the rain. GH’s local maintenance techs came out and cleaned off the offending needles on the edge of the helmets. They also said that this was a very common complaint, but we had never been told. Our local office in Federal Way told us to call them whenever we needed that service to take place. We even set up a schedule with them for their cleaning off of the helmets for twice a year at NO CHARGE. Our contract with GH had no charges listed for any cleaning. It was part of the agreement. Now there is a $50 destination fee, plus whatever other fee they deem necessary to come out to our house. I’ve had several conversations with the local GH and national. The rules have changed and I/we have not been “grand-fathered in” with our old contract. There is a stubborn and almost discourteous attitude when talking to the big-wigs at national. Since Gutter Helmet Company has made it perfectly clear that they are not interested in keeping their word, I will do (and have done) whatever I personally can to show and tell to any interested persons that want a gutter cover precisely how Gutter Helmet treated me. I feel very cheated and feel it is my responsibility to warn others. It is my belief, based on my experience, that Gutter Helmet is a disingenuous and dishonest company.Lednor Home Solutions Response

This customer has a manufacture's warranty for this product that he purchased. As the Dealer for this product we charge a warranty assessment fee to look at customers issues. if the issue is deemed to be warranty related then we will preform the warranty work with out any additional charge to the customer. The manufactures warranty does not include cleaning the customers roof and the exterior of the gutter helmet.Review from Masha T

Absolute scam - bait and switch. They marketed their gutter helmet with a lifetime of free cleaning, which is why I went with them in the first place. And now they're claiming they ended that policy, and are going to charge me to clean my gutters.Review from Chris R

Had Gutter Helmet installed Dec 2009. After a year I had to call twice a year to have the system cleaned because of clogging, the water would flow over the gutters like a water fall. Every year they would come out and check and clean. A couple of times the person who performed the cleaning said I need some extra parts installed to stop the clogging and water fall. After time has passed I still have the same problem. No one called to fix the problems. I called again and was told it would cost $50 to have a service performed to clean the gutters. How is this possible if the warranty states never clean your gutters again, and this is part of the lifetime warranty. Absolutely no help for customers after installation.Review from William B

When I got the Gutter Helmet product installed, I was very happy with the results; it's done exactly what is promises, to help me avoid having to ever clean my gutters. That all changed when a downed tree grazed our house about two months ago. Minor damage to the gutters, but required a fix both to them and the gutter helmet product. Upon calling Gutter Helmet, I found out they are now owned by Lindor Home Solutions. I was sent by the person answering my call to their "customer care unit." No one answered and I was asked to leave a message, which I did. A few days later, I received a call, but when I answered, the person said "hold for customer care." They didn't answer again, and I left a second message. After 12 calls over two weeks, I finally reached an actual person who arranged an estimator to come look at the damage. He refused to give an estimate until the roof (shingles) were repaired, with no explanation as to why that was necessary. Two more week to get the shingles repaired and I started on the treadmill of a dozen calls to Lindor only to get sent to the customer service area that never answers the phone. I somehow (I honestly don't recall how) was able to connect with a service person who came out, game me an estimate, and indicated that a contract would be e-mailed to me. It never was. A dozen more calls and I got the contract and signed it, returned it to Lindor. Four weeks later, I received a call for scheduling the repair. In in all, over three months to repair roughly 4 feet of gutter/gutter helmet. Their customer service is both the worst I've ever experienced with any business, but seems deliberately set up not to provide service except to the most persistent (or masochistic) customers. Will never use them again.Review from James A

Dan S******* of Gutter Helmet came to my mom’s house today to check her gutters. He was so kind and polite to the both of us. He got up on his ladder and inspected her gutters. He then gave us some recommendations. He also called before he arrived . We were very impressed with Dan!!!Review from John T

I regret the day I got involved with Lednor. Their is vertically zero support after the gutter Helmet is installed. I have water leaking into my house and damaging my ceiling. The first appointment I made to remove a section that was not installed properly was cancelled by them with no notification to me because they were short of staffing. They said they made a call and left a voice message...there was no voice message. The follow up appointment was a no show. They told me he was at my house at 9:00 AM. I was home, no door bell ring, no one was on the footage of my camera. Basically, THEY WERE NOT HERE!!!Lednor Home Solutions Response

When I had this system installed, it came with a lifetime warranty to keep gutters "free flowing". As others have complained, when they don't, the company now charges a $50 fee to come and "inspect" the system. I've seen this business' response: "The manufactures warranty states that the gutters will remain free flowing and if they become clogged they will be cleaned free of charge. The dispatch fee is not part of the manufactures warranty. The dispatch fee is to dispatch a service crew to the location of the install to determine what type of issue the customer is having. if at the time of inspection it is deemed to be a warranty related issue we will take care of the issue per the manufacture's warranty with out any extra charges." A $50 up-front, non-refundable "dispatch fee" to have the crew come and clean the gutters that are within the warranty guidelines is false advertising at it's worst. If you come to clean the gutters under warranty and find that they don't meet the guidelines, then you're within your right to charge the $50 fee. Otherwise, it's just deceptive. This business should not be allowed to claim a service is free if it isn't. I'll never recommend this company's product again.Lednor Home Solutions Response

Mr C****** Regarding the Fee we are assessing it pertains not to Warranty but anticipated work to be conducted for Non Warranty service work. For 40 years we have dispatched crews at no charge to assess and make any repairs necessary, that fact is 99% of our calls were non warranty related. Current costs for a two man team in a truck for one stop is in excess of $200 so the $50 is offsetting some of these costs. If we find that a problem is Warranty related such as a clogged inside gutter or downspout we will remedy and refund your $50 fee.Review from Natalie G

Lednor Home Solutions (the local arm of Gutter Helmet) does really poor workmanship, and then charges $50 every time you have to have them back out under their “triple lifetime guarantee.” Their customer service reps are incredibly difficult to get on the phone, and then even less helpful when you do. Scheduling them to come out takes weeks, and overall, this was the worst investment we’ve ever made.
