Zero Stars. After not completing work, charging out insurance company, and coming back four times, without ladders to do roofing work, they claimed work was done. I was able to see from the ground, they had NOT completed the work. They then turned it over to collections, damaging my credit. I paid them in full, but do NOT agree with their business practices.

We had a bad, frustrating, and LONG experience. August 2023- ?May 2024 We had water damage to our lower level, our insurance company at the time chose Thomasville to come out and do water mitigation/repairs. During repairs they accidentally caused additional water damage which required them to temporarily shut off water, they turned the water back on and closed up the access panel in the home. Weeks later we had MORE water damage from the water access they had last done anything with, as expected they denied any fault. After having to get more repairs done, we noticed multiple issues with Thomasville's work. The initial repair issues/quality concerns we brought to them were; contractors watching videos on how to do work, sloppy caulking, uneven flooring, the fact we had to ask them to stop work and clean up/dry the water damage they caused, cracked baseboards, questionable correctly installed flooring. After many emails/arguing, second opinions etc. a supervisor finally came out to our home. They agreed to clean up the caulking, make sure flooring was appropriately spaced (some of which was not and was fixed), remove some flooring to show proper subfloor beneath (they showed me clean cement under the flooring), repair cracked baseboards. We were getting nowhere with the argument of the flooring not being properly installed and they said it was just a difference in technique/sales opportunity, so we dropped it so we could move on. July 2024 we unfortunately had more water damage and had to remove the flooring we had questioned having a proper subfloor due to it being uneven. Upon removing the LPV flooring we found the "clean cement" which was just "our uneven subfloor/foundation (and wasn't their responsibility)" to actually be a very thin, crumbling layer of self leveling cement that they had poured over top of old uneven cracking/peeling adhesive that they claimed to of removed. Now we have to clean up their cement and the old adhesive they claimed to of removed.

During my experience with Thomasville Restoration Services (TRV), I found they utilized unethical business practices, (1) requesting payment for services not rendered, (2) enforcement of unauthorized/unnecessary asbestos testing. (3) overloading a home's electrical capacity with excessive equipment, then adding on a power box for additional cost. (4) Labeling water as category 3 without evidence, for monitory gain. Thomasville Restoration Services (TVR)was hired by my insurance company to mitigate water damaged in my basement. Their staff came to my home three days after over a foot of water was removed by me and family. They did not see the water, ask questions about it, or take a sample. but labeled it Category 3, the worst of waters, black or sewer water and the costliest to handle. A water test showed had chlorine. TVR claimed they performed an asbestos survey/sampling, although I refuse to authorize the service. How this scam works is they ask you for documents to prove asbestos testing has been done at the home. If you can't produce the documents, they do asbestos sampling anyway. I was not aware of when or where the sampling was done in my home, but they said it was negative at a cost of $930. TVR overloaded my electrical capacity causing power to trip less than 24 hrs. after leaving 15 air blowers and a large dehumidifier in my 840 sf. basement, then brought a Powerbox connector, at adding cost. When TVR requested payment over my insurance cap, the claims agent sent the bill/cost estimate to me. While reviewing each service item, I found they were requesting payment for several services that they didn't do and using inaccurate calculations for days of services which boost costs. Thomasville Restorations is not a good business to hire. Don't be fooled by their ****** reviews. They are unethical, and did a wipe over job at my home, not actual cleaning and sanitizing. Take pictures and read the bill before insurance pays.

I had a negative experience with this company. The estimator (Britt) suggested that I needed to have the ceiling in the room above my water damage repainted. The contractor was confused, so they left. They had to come back and repaint a perfectly fine ceiling because it had been paid for. He also estimated a small repair in my basement. Upon seeing pictures, my insurance immediately requested them to come out and do additional repairs since their estimate was sufficient.

Additionally, the subcontractor subbed out the work further to workers who did not speak English. He dropped them off at my house and then left for 6+ hours before picking them up. They cut up ceiling tiles in my basement as opposed to a better work space, causing a lot of dust. It was not cleaned up well and left an odor for several months. There were also quality issues with the work, and we had to have them come redo some of the ceiling tiles a second time.

There were scheduling issues. We were told workers would come on a Saturday so planned our weekend around this. Come noon, no one had arrived, so we had to plan for a different day.

Overall, I am really unimpressed by the work and professionalism of this company, which is odd since they were referred by ****. Maybe you will have better luck but being in the South-Central PA area, I would look elsewhere.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
We want to provide you with some details regarding the timeline of your project to shed some light on the efforts put forth to ensure you were provided the appropriate service to get your claim submitted to **** repaired with the goal of getting your property back to "pre-loss conditions". The original estimate, submitted to **** (dated 3/12/2022) was approved by **** to have Thomasville to remove and replace 24 SF of ceiling tile. You, the homeowner, wanted the entire ceiling of your basement to be replaced, instead of just 24 SF. Once this was brought to my attention on 4/1/22 we:
    - 4/1 completed work per approved scope
    - 4/1 Reached out to **** advising that homeowner wanted additional work done
    - 4/2 **** advised that Homeowner needs to pay per approved scope $637.52
    - 4/7 ******* from **** requested a new estimate to replace remaining ceiling tiles in basement and advised that homeowner approved painting the ceiling
    - 4/11 Remaining ceiling tiles were replaced and ceiling was painted
    - 4/12 - Homeowner advised of "bowing" in the ceiling. The "bowing" was from the existing ceiling grid which is not from our repairs but how the existing ceiling grid is laid out. Our scope of work per the approved estimate is to remove and replace all ceiling tiles in the basement, not to correct the existing flaws that may be related to the insureds existing ceiling grid
    - 4/14/2022 12:16:44 PM Completed final walk-through got completion pictures uploaded. The insured was traveling and was currently in Detroit he said when he is in between flights he could sign all the paperwork via DocuSign along with the endorsement for the **** check. The insureds wife was home but she was not really involved in repair process So she did not sign any paperwork.
    - 4/18 Certificate of Satisfaction was signed by Homeowner
    - 7/1 Homeowner did not pay for work completed and advised that their was an odor in his basement.
    - 7/6 Email to member: Good Afternoon Jeremy - When you get the chance please let me know when you are available to meet. I would like to schedule a time to come out and inspect the basement and see what could be causing this odor you had mentioned.
    - 7/11 Email received from Member this morning 7/11/2022 10:24 AM: Hi Scott, That won't be necessary. I did some cleanup on my own over the last week and the odor seems to be dissipating. I am still unsatisfied with the work done by your company by individuals other than yourself. The check has been e-signed. Let me know if anything else is required. Thanks, Jeremy G****

Unfortunately, sometimes the efforts put forth by our team do not meet the expectations even after following the exact approved scope. I am confident in the team the provided the estimate, completed the repairs, and managed the project. That said, the documentation clearly states that Thomasville Restoration completed the approved scope and then on 4/18/22 the insured signed off on the required **** Certificate of Satisfaction. We completed the project and offered to come back after job completion due to any outstanding concerns.
