    I was referred by my primary care doctor to Dr.********* ***** upon scheduling the appointment 1 1/2 months in advance and repeatedly asking if any money is due besides the $30 specialist visit I was told "nothing else is due" after the representative took my insurance information, when the visit was done on 2/23/22 I asked to pay my $30 copay and was told "not to it would be billed to me" after the uncomfortable, painful allergy test I again asked if any money is due again I was told '$0 is due. but then i get a bill in the mail for $343 + $30 for copay I called my insurance company they stated they will investigate and for me to call the provider, who is Stephanie who state she would file a dispute, the unknown female called me on 21 April 2022 @ 3:43pm asking about the bill and what questions did I have, I immediately told her what was told me by her representative several times $0 funds is due only the $30 copay which they didn't even ask for after the visit..the lady stated "the girls always ask for the copay at the visit and we always check with the insurance company to verify what is due...apparently they didn't and decided to toss their mistake onto me.

    In response to customer's statement of the problem:
    At Potomac Allergy & Asthma, our group of providers have been bringing high quality care that our patients can count on for over 40 years. In this time we have never had a complaint bought to the BBB. We pride ourselves is serving the Metropolitan area and providing premiere care.
    We do recommend that patients educate themselves with regards to their health benefits prior to receiving any medical services. All claims are subject to medical review and there are no guarantees of payment. How a patients health plan processes their claims and under what benefit is a matter between the patient and their health plan. When patients are not educated on their health benefits, this can lead to misdirected frustration. Please stay informed while working with your health plan and your medical team for all of your health care needs.

    I am rejecting this response because I was informed by staff that it would be no charge for evaluation the company is bogus and so is the response, I will not be making any payment to the provider.
