On August ******* ***** from Veteran Electric was here at our home for a repair arranged by efficiency Maine. While he was here another contractor was installing our new septic system and an electric line was cut that powers our pool pump. ***** and I were outside discussing our solar when this happened and both saw it at the same time. I ran to check the pool pump and it was indeed the power to the pool. In going to shut off the breaker to the pool we realized it had already tripped when the line was damaged. This all happened very fast. I asked ***** if he was able to fix the damage. He advised me he did not have the supplies he needed and would have to go get them. The septic guys stopped to allow him to work and he said it was all repaired. Unfortunately due to the digging in the yard I was not immediately able to get out to the pool shed to check the pump. It was Thursday the 15th when I was able to get out there and the pump was not working. I checked the breaker and unplugged rechecked and tried again. No power to the pump. I reached out to ***** and he claimed I had told him the pool did not work anyway. This was definitely not the case, as wed had the pool completely redone in July 2024 with a new liner and pump. Upon receiving the invoice for $150.00 we just paid it taking his word it was repaired. When I contacted him about it not working he got loud and defensive. I ended the conversation and had out pool guy check the pump just to ensure it wasnt the pump that had been damaged. He confirmed the pump was fine and that the plug only had 120 on one pole and nothing on the other(it was not repaired either correctly or completely). I have reached back out to ***** in effort to resolve the issue and he is just rude, condescending, and lies.

We are very sorry that you feel this way and weren't pleased with your experience with our company. ***** repaired the cut in the wire in accordance with the **** verified the breaker turned back on, and verified that there was power to both legs to the shed.  Everything had proper power when he left that day. There is a good possibility that the excavator did further damage down the line by stretching the wire, ofr that the company may have dropped a rock on the wire while backfilling the trench, damaging it. All things that our company has no control over or takes responsibility for. This was an emergency fix that ***** decided to do for you on the spot, while also not charging you for his time spent driving to the hardware store and back to your residence, as well as not charging you any type of emergency fee for a same day service. All in all, everything had power and was in good standing when he left that day. What happened after he left, we would not assume responsibility for. We pride ourselves on honor and integrity, both having served our country, and are a word of mouth business, so we make all attempts (within reason) to keep customers happy and make ***** a safer state.

Even though we do not feel we are at fault here, we will refund you your money. ***** also strongly suggests you get your meter upgraded, and proper grounding installed, as well as a new main panel because yours is full and outdated. We wish you the best of luck.
