On June 8, 2023 this business charged and elderly lady $150.00 to diagnose why her dryer was no longer heating. He said he needed to order some parts and would be back to fix it. On June 15th he returned and charged her an additional $201.97 for the repair. the dryer didn't last more than a day and stopped heating again. He returned several weeks later to take things apart and replace a couple more parts. The dryer started working again. The next day it again stopped working. He said he would need to take things apart and order some more parts. It is now September 7th and we haven't been able to reach him in over a month. His voicemail is full and no longer accepting phone calls. He took advantage of an elderly lady on a fixed income who now can no longer dry her clothes and is out $350. Despicable. If he wasn't able to fix it he should have told her after the diagnosis phase. This guy lacks what it takes to be successful in life.

I Purchased a washer on 10/26/2022 for $1,370.45 Appliance city installed it on 10/28/2022 byJay the owner of the company. That afternoon my very first load of wash the load was off balance, it sounded like a tank, and it started to walk across the floor. I immediately telephoned *** to explain what was going on and he was so very surprised because in all of his years he has sold a ****************** he has never had any issues with them he asked if I could have loaded it wrong. He said he would stop out the next day. He followed up on 10/29/22 and determined he needed to order a part for the washer. He said he contacted speed queen before he left my home and ordered the part and until the part came in, he said I should continue to use it since I am disabled and unable to make other accommodations (ex. using a laundromat). I limited my usage of doing laundry because the washer would walk across the floor, and I could not get to the laundry room fast enough to turn the machine off. *** was and is fully aware of my capabilities and the need to have washer repaired. I would telephone him at least every other day to see if he had an update as to when the part was to come in. He never had any idea, he finally said on 11/01/22 he was going to replace the washer he told me he had some in his warehouse which he could bring me the next day. Well, the next day came and went Again, the washer was still off balance, and I was struggling to deal with the noise the inconvenience and the damage to my dryer and floor. I continued to call him almost every day or every most times I would get his voicemail which was always full, and I was unable to leave a message. He finally called me back on November 8th and still had no idea when it would be in all he could do was tell me the usual how he is doing everything he can to help. My sister suggested I call around and see if I can find another one, so I started to call around and I found 1 at Agren and made the purchase. He was able to get me the washer delivered on November 11th. I called *** and explained that I couldn't keep going anymore and purchased another one. I told him that they were coming, and he needed to come and pick his up before the 11/11th. He never did so the Agren men carefully placed the other one in the garage. After they removed the Speed Queen the Agreen deliverymen pointed out how there was damage to the floor, wall and the dryer. We cleaned the floor and took pictures they installed the new washer and dryer, and I haven't had any more issues or problems. Now comes more problems with Appliance City my floor is damaged I called *** at Appliance city he told me to call my ******************** which I did and heard back and sent pictures to ****** at ************ with Liberty Mutual. After she investigated, she determined that she could not help me that I needed to contact the installing company which of course I tried again to reach him who was *** the owner of Appliance City. When I finally did, he told me to contact Speed Queen since it was a failure in their equipment, which I did they referred me back to Appliance City, I spoke to *** and he told me he would contact his insurance company, but I have never heard back from him. He has avoided me every time and has not taken responsibility. I can call and call him, but I only get his voice mail which is always full. I explained to him that I stopped payment with my credit card company then he was angry and threatened me with calling the police for stealing his washer. As I explained to him, have your insurance company come out and take pictures with a claim filed and he can take the washer with him. I did receive a phone call from a Sheriff on December 2nd, 2022, and he asked me questions and I explained my situation I have never heard back from him, I even said if you come to my home make a report, take pictures, he can have the washer at that moment. The ****************** is still sitting in my ******** have called him and have asked when he is coming, he has been avoiding me and when I have reached him, he tells me he is threatening me with a lawyer and I keep telling him I look forward to hearing from one, but as usual he never follows through. I have no faith that I will hear from him or a lawyer, that is why I need your help.I live on a fixed income and can't afford a lawyer, nor should I have to spend my money that I don't have to spend to fix my floor and fix his incompetence. Please help me to get my floor repaired or reimbursed for the damage that this company has caused.
