On August 2,2021 I purchased a 2021 Polaris Ranger 570 from Cove-side Wheel and Ski in Newport, Maine. On December 20,2021 I delivered the Ranger to Cushing Motorsports for its first service which included its first oil and filter change. On the afternoon of January 23,2022 it stopped working and would not turn over to start. It was the coldest week of the year and my wife used it daily around the neighborhood we live in. I thought it may be the battery didn't have enough CCA, so I recharged the battery and tried to start it to no avail. I contacted Cove-side on January 28,2022 in case it was an electrical or warrantied part that had failed, and they told me to bring it in. I delivered the Ranger to Cove-Side on February 2nd for inspection. On February 16,2022 Cove-side contacted me to inform me the motor was seized and Polaris directed Cove-Side to have me consult with Cushing Motorsports for the reason why the motor seized after the oil change, They indicated in their report that they did not know what filter or oil was used even though I sent a copy of the service receipt with the filter and type oil used. Cove-Side stated that I should bring it to Cushing to find the reason for the failure. During the troubleshooting at Cove-Side, they took some pictures to send to Polaris but did not prob the engine for the root cause of the failure, the only root cause failure analysis that was performed was checking the oil level and filter type. There was no report of what caused the failure other than "consult with Cushing". I have attached the reports and photos associated with this Case # C-7235364-W1K8C1. This 2021 Polaris Ranger 570 has only 441 miles on it and had oil level which should not have caused any failure in such a short timeframe. The oil and filter used were designed for in replacement and use with Polaris equipment. See photos attached.
