  I enrolled into the salon professional academy of ********************* I paid $100 and $30 the first $100 was for their filing fees $30 was for Michigan State licensing fees then I attended 2 days of orientation on the second day on the second day I paid $427 to go towards my tuition as the **** by email a couple days later and I talked to *** one of the administrators she said I should get all 427 back then when I called back I was told that I needed return a shirt and the name tag and then they give me a breakdown of what they would give me so when I did that I called back they said I would get $198 back they are charged me for two days of classes of $100 a piece I didn't intend any classes I only attended orientation I keep getting the runaround about getting my money returned I've called when I called and talk to *** who I was supposed to talk to you about the money she told me she wasn't there and she's the only foreign person there so her voice is very recognizable and then when I called back and I said this is getting ridiculous I'm getting tired of getting the runaround she hung up on me and told me I could not get my money until after Saturday

  The student signed a contract and attended class which includes orientation. The contract signed by the student according to the Academys refund policy, a student can cancel enrollment and receive a full refund before the start of any hours of the chosen program. Once a student attend class including orientation, refunds are calculated based on a percentage of the number of hours within the program and the number hours the student attended. The student did start class and attend The Academy. That means for example, if the program is 600 hours and student attends 1hour or more for that program they are responsible for a percentage of the 600 hours based on the number of hours the student attended plus the cost of textbook and kit. The fees for attending would include Application fee, Student Permit fee, ***************** fee, Tuition, Textbook and Kit fee. There is also a fee to withdraw from the program as well. The Academy can only refund money based on its Refund Policy.

  However, the students are welcome to come into the school to discuss their account in detail. The Academy cannot disclose detailed information pertaining to the student account without signed written permission from the student.

  The Academy apologies for any misunderstanding. The Academy strives for professionalism when it comes to explaining to students the policies and procedures within the catalog and handbook received as well as the contract the students sign.
