Well after what looks like happened to everyone also happened to me this makes a ton of sense why they have a F rating. I went into the program in 2019 and did it to feel safe and see a light at the end of the tunnel to bettering my credit and moving on with my life, boy was I mistaken. First off they let one of the cards slip through the cracks and go straight to lawyer only for me to get served papers that they were coming after me for not paying. Once I got ahold of the "legal" department they said oops sorry and you are now going to have to pay that lawyer directly while still funneling money into Heartland. Long story short I paid all other cards off and am still paying for this one and my credit is still garbage, in which I was told it wouldn't be, and I am a single dad trying to buy a house for my son and I and I can't because of this fraudulent company and what it has done to a lot of us from the looks of these reviews. I hope I get a letter to go to litagation and can help take these folks down.

If I could give them worse than I one star I would. I complete the program and was told everything was in good standings. Due to completing the course early I was supposed to even get some money back. 2 years later I never received that money and am now being served papers by one of the companies that was supposed to be paid off. I tried calling heartland today and sat on the phone for over an hour with no answer. Tried to contact the local representative and was told he is busy through text. I also tried to log in to my account as it stated it did not exist and I would have to set one up. I took a day off from work to handle these matters and it ended up being a waste!

Add insult to injury -- left a thorough review of today's calls (after first a 1 hour 17 minute HOLD) and a second transferred call (after a hold of 21 additional minutes) with a member in Litigation and another in ***************** my review became "lost". Summed up conclusion is that this Heartland Legal Group is a fraud oriented company with deep pockets that unethically and crookedly collects your money and keeps the client hanging. You sign an almost 100 page contract that is hand-delivered to your residence, signed and initialed upteen times and then the payments start. In my case, I contracted to a very high payment of nearly one year, amounting just about to my debt level. I wanted this resolved quickly and efficiently and pursued a debt reduction when I originally just wanted a loan (misleading conversation at first). I paid contractually by auto withdrawal and saw next to nothing happening as regards settlements. After six months, I got pushes to increase the payments, which I refused to do. Each month those reminders were part of my "portal". Long painful story short, of five creditors, two were settled, one flip flopped but they said were settled. Two I never learned what happened because once I requested a payout schedule from the holding company, my portal disappeared. I did NOT receive any further word about my account (today I learned that an "agent" not a lawyer called my house and said I was not paying any more and they had cancelled my account - First it was "called" then it changed to left a message on my phone. There never was a message. Moreover, if I sign a 100 page contract and I am cancelled for whatever reason, it SHOULD ALSO BE DONE IN WRITING. Not a call, not a message left on a machine. Under no circumstances should anyone reading these reviews/complaints do business with Heartland Legal Group. Never! I am being sued in Small Claims Court by two of my creditors. My credit was ruined! And now I am being sued on top of everything. Beware!

This is a very dishonest group of people. In November 2019 we agreed to have them help us with our credit cards debts for $ ****** a month. After 2 years of paying regularly we've checked their website to find out that out of 5 accounts they were paying only 1 for $25 and at that point they had only started 5 months prior. We were fortunate because we were able to stop them right away, called the credit cards companies and settled with them. They are a bunch of thieves.

This company is awful. I have been in program for 4 years have never missed a month. I have been sued multiple times. Recently was served with garnishment papers I called Heartland Legal for help they said I'm on my own. I paid them to do this for me and am screwed and have paid over $20,000. Do not use this company they do not do what they say

I would NEVER recommend Heartland Legal Group to anyone. They are not upfront with fees or costs. You end up paying longer than they say. They are out for the bottom line. I have bills I cannot pay because they are still drafting payments that should have been done months ago. I still have to pay until July and it is wrong. They are a scam. Do not use them. I am heartbroken at the ride they have taken me on. It is not worth wasting your time with them. Also, customer service says it will take 72 hours to return your inquiry. I have left several and have never heard back from them. Calling the customer service hotline sends you into a waiting period and they do not help once you have talked to them. Every time they make a payment it $12 and then there is the almost $11 every month that you have to pay on top of all of the upfront fees that you have to pay before the try to settle debts.DO NOT USE THEM, wolf in sheep's clothing

Lack of communication. I was told my debts be settled and instead I get my banking account completely wiped out, close to 5000 dollars. They have my settlement in a *************** account to finished this creditor and tell me to not poke the bear. Then my account gets wiped I called multiple times and and warned them about the legal actions pending, and they said I would be to priority. Not they ignored the legal and let me now wonder how Im going to pay my bills the next few days that are due. Rip offs!!!! Dont do their jobs.

Enrolled 18 k in debt which they agreed to settle for 14 k. I payed them the 14k in which they paid 3k to settle 2 accounts. So now they have 11k of my money but are now asking for 4 k more, which is my entire debt. Pretty shaky at best, organized thievery in reality.
