Purchased a car from this auction company listed ALL CARS A RE SOLD AS IS. but they do an inspection when the car arrives at their lot for sale. Per the listing car runs and drives with no issues. I picker up the car on September 14th. When I started the car there was an engine noise I thought that might go away once I drive since the car has been parked for a while. After driving 30min car dropped working. I got the car towed to the mechanic. I was told the the car has a bad engine and people who sold the car use some sort of chemical to stop noise and ********** 2-70030 2010 **** Escape Limite

A vehicle was purchased in good faith at auction. The company gives their customers 8 days after the auction to pick up their items and even provides a list of pickup times/dates within those 8 days. However, as this item is a titled item, the company was contracted to complete the title transfer paperwork and provide the registration tag. Auction was completed at 8:50pm on 2/17. Invoice was paid the morning of 2/19. The license invoice was received via email at 2:03pm on 2/22. As registration is required before possession can be taken, the 8-day pick-up time frame was really limited to after the license fee invoice was paid and then processed. As of the morning of 2/23, the company title department still had the vehicle listed as pending and therefore unavailable for pick-up. A "storage fee" was charged on 2/28 as a result of the vehicle not leaving their lot after the 8-day period. Once the vehicle had changed possession the afternoon of 3/1, a temporary registration was issued via email on 3/2 for a period of 2 weeks. Upon the expiration of the temporary registration, contact was made with the company on 3/17 regarding the status of the permanent license plate. The person answering the phone was sympathetic and promised to call with information but did not do so. A return call to the same department on the morning of 3/18 was unsuccessful so a voicemail was left requesting a call-back and outlining the next steps to be taken by the vehicle's new owner (if not resolved by 4pm on 3/18 a complaint will be filed with the MI AG's office, BBB, and subsequent retention of legal representation will be obtained as necessary). An additional call to one ************************* was completed shortly after the voicemail. ******************** did call back with additional information stating "it's in the mail" and promised a tracking number. No tracking number has been provided and the lateness of this process is delaying work which costs more money.
