Shapiro Real Estate just took over the property management for my apartment complex, in September 2024. There was never a formal announcement, and the residents received a very short notice of this change, but no contact information for this company. I've lived in the complex for 7yrs, and its changed from ************* , to **************** under RESSCO (horrible company), now to Shapiro Real Estate. In the 7yrs of my residency, I have have NEVER been delinquent with my rent. I've had to escrow my rent at least 3 times because RESSCO could not produce an accurate ledger, and they refused to make simple repairs, or provide heat, hot water and AC in the summer time, The rent is over $1200/month for my apartment. Now that Shapiro is in charge, they've decided, without cause or explanation, to refuse to renew my lease and want me to move out by 12/31/2024. I'm disabled, and at NO POINT, did anyone call or email me of this change until I received a letter on my door in late October. Tis MUST be criminal!! This company is shady, greedy, money grubbing, and has no morals. They purchase properties then raise the rent 30% or more for no plausible reason. They do nothing to improve the community and are just thieves.Review from Sarah M

Wish I could leave a zero! These people don't follow any laws. Over charge on rent. Block people out of the main number because they are snobs They turn water off all day at whim and no one gets a notice. When water comes back it's brownReview from Claudine E

M Shapiro Real Estate Group also has property managed under the name of "Bridge ******************************* Group, this is the worst company I have ever done business with. Their property "Candlelight Village" has had numerous staff changes and ownership/management changes over the past five years. The office does not keep good records of their tenants' leases or payments and gives you the impression that none of this is important to them. You have to repeatedly call the office to check on the status of your complaint or inquiry because they don't give you a follow-up call to let you know the status of your situation. The property "Candlelight Village" has changed ownership/management 3 times in the past 5 years, with Sun Communities, M. Shapiro Real Estate Group, and Bridge ******************************* Group being the worst of them all. I moved out 6 months ago and ** still dealing with them about a refund of money owed to me. I want to warn anyone thinking about moving into any properties owned by M Shapiro Real Estate Group/Bridge ******************************* Group that they are not BBB Accredited. They make you feel like they don't care about their tenants, only about making and collecting money.
