We signed a contract last April for a water tanker and they received the painted chassis that we paid for the following month in May, we were promised a no later than 4th quarter 2022 delivery and actually told typically ***** days from receiving chassis. In his contract he plainly states to remove/inspect/test all components with body and pump. I asked for monthly updates for our monthly meetings and *** was good for a few months. Then he got to not answering and ignoring phone calls. September rolls around and I ask for pictures of progress and he sends me a photoshop of the body on the chassis. That's when I realized we were in trouble. November, I get an email from a new office assistant saying she'd give us biweekly updates, I thanked her and only asked before each monthly meeting next thing I know I'm getting a crappy email from *** saying they'll report progress when there is some made and there isn't any and the tank is damaged, so they suggest another body. We were assured they could fix anything wrong with body and we also know the tank can be fixed or replaced. I called and talked to office manager and told them that as well, she emailed me back and said they would have a plan the following week on what to do. By this time, we are well in to 2023, I waited until the next week and emailed asking what they figured out and I get this crappy reply the following day stating that harassing them daily isn't going to fix a thing. I never asked for anything that we weren't promised, they told me they'd have a gameplan by the time I emailed them. At the end of his email, he offers a refund and we talked about it and decided to keep the chassis as it was purchased separately and either sell it ourselves or use it another way and accept the refund on the money we sent him. I reached out to the place we bought the chassis from about picking it back up for us and help load onto trailer as they have a ramp and TLine was just going to take it to a rest area and leave it for whomever we get to transport it to pick up. The company agreed to help us and reached out to tline to verify access and such to truck and all was well until they got there, and it was blocked in with no keys. Then *** stops responding to the company that he had dealt with several times and finally responds 12hrs later crappy with him. While all this is happening, I start researching them and run across some people's comments that seem like there's some shady stuff going on I reached out to a few and found out these same people had a company called etankers that did the same things to people before, then I get a call from a guy in ****** that bought a chassis from same supplier and was having similar issues. We finally got the chassis back to Indiana where we purchased it so we do have something to show for the over 100k investment, now they are trying their best to weasel out of refunding anything. They owe us our $35,000 we sent them to complete the tanker. I have receipts of the money plus the contract if you require it. I will also be contacting the local DA about criminal charges. We found out later the owner ********************* had an earlier company that went bankrupt and that there have been numerous complaints against his business.
