On 08/22/22 at 14:29, I bought groceries and paid at the number 2 self check lane. Included in my purchase was Halo brand clementine oranges. On the display sign stated in printed black ink HALO CLEMENTINES was an advertised price and the ** code to add the coupon to your YES card. There was also a sale price on the same sign even without the additional coupon. The price was $5.99. The sale was $1.00 off and with the coupon, another $2.00. Therefore, the final price would be $2.99, also listed clearly in printed black ink on the advertising sign. When I arrived home and double checked my receipt, I was charged the full price of $5.99. I called the store to report this discrepancy and was told I would need to bring the Halo brand product back to the store to have it exchanged for the brand that was actually part of the promotion. Excuse me? Was D and W going to honor their own advertising and admit they made a mistake? Nope! The implication was to bring the one "I bought by mistake" and exchange for the one "I should have bought instead." I was even told to refrigerate the oranges to keep them fresh until I brought them back. I thought I slipped through to another dimension. *The coupon shown on the receipt is for a different discount. It was $3.00 off $15.00 in produce. That coupon is now cleared from my YES card because it was redeemed.

I just wanted to let you know that I have reached out to the customer and have issued gift cards to him.

    Thank you,

I am rejecting this response because: Sometimes things aren't as easy as YES or NO.  I am rejecting the response even though I was provided $15.99 in gift cards which included the product price in question.  I did not receive the refund in the original form of payment.  I requested a refund, not an offer to continue to shop at D&W.  In addition, I was disrespected by a false advertisement, a rude and somewhat ignorant customer service employee and then by the manager for not responding to my complaint for over 5 weeks.  This clearly shows that D&W does not value their customers and that customers are an afterthought.  I did use the gift cards to purchase overpriced products at the D&W store that screwed me over, but I have no intention of shopping at this store again or any Spartan **** location.  I know this saddens you tremendously and your store will see a major dip in sales because of it. (sarcasm) Even though I live in Western ******** now, I still brought my high standards with me.  I do not apologize for that.  If **************** wants to operate at a subpar level that is certainly their choice, but I do not want to be a part of it.

    Sincerely,
