Meijer grocery store, Wixom Michigan is the worst ever. Foreigners in the meat department that don’t understand English, don’t help you, and don’t care, deli department is so overworked that they have no more energy to be anything other than disgruntled. Store manager is combative and confrontational, I have reached out to the CEO, Better Business Bureau twice, district manager once and Mr. Meijer himself, no one has responded. Once the store manager answered the Better Business Bureau complaint and once again was combative so I hung up on her. This used to be a family owned company, it’s now a garbage overpriced not good quality grocery store. The best thing that could happen to the community is it goes out of business completely! When you email an address the concerns in person and no one cares to fix the problems, you know the company is horrible, Meijers is a horrible overpriced company.Review from Jon W

Meijer Pharmacy Complaint. I am a pharmacist myself & I had a very disappointing experience at a Meijer pharmacy that I felt warranted a formal complaint. I fill a controlled substance prescription monthly at a different pharmacy but they were out of stock when it was due to be filled again, so I called Meijer pharmacy on Maysville Rd & they confirmed they had adequate quantity for the fill. However, when came to the pharmacy, the female pharmacist informed me that she couldnt fill it till the next day b/c of Meijer’s policy (these rx's can be refilled exactly 30 days apart). I told her that was fine if thats the policy but I was leaving the next day for a week of family vacation. After I mentioned this she strangely changed her story & said now the absolute earliest day she could fill it would be the day Id be back from vacation (coincidentally). I wondered why this sudden change so I politely asked for an explanation. I don’t recall exactly what she said, but the tone I was interpreting was very condescending and rude; it was clear Id been deemed a drug-abuser in her eyes and after our brief exchange was done I honestly felt like human garbage even though I’ve been appropriately using my medication for over a decade. I was assured multiple times that the rx would be filled on the agreed upon date, but when I returned to the pharmacy a week later i was informed they were now out of stock but I was invited to return 3-4 days later when they might have more which was very frustrating and disappointing. The pharmacist on duty this day did not offer any apology or explanation for this issue and appeared ambivalent which made me feel like he could not care less about providing quality patient care. Meijer pharmacy has officially lost my business and I will not plan to get any prescriptions filled there in the future because of this negative experience.Review from Sherry F

I have been going to the same doctor for over ten years. I've had my prescriptions being filled at your store on east Michigan Ave. In Jackson, Michigan.. Over the last several months, there has been one woman who treats me with the utmost disrespect. Every time I have a prescription, fill there. I get nothing but harassment from her. I have been taking several meds & Somewhere along the line my prescription date got mixed up and when I call to pick it up.They always tell me that i'm too early. And will refuse to let me have it. I spoke to my doctor in regards to this issue to see if she could find out where it fell apart in regards to the dates period she expressed to me. There was no issue with it, and there's no reason they should not be letting me have my medication. I do understand that you can only pick it up 2 days prior to The pickup date because it's a narcotic. But somewhere along the line, these dates got mixed up. This woman has told me that I must have a stockpile of them, that I don't need them right now. And the list goes on and on about her rude disrespect. To the point that she has made me cry more than once. So I was trying very hard to break them in half and move them up to the date they told me I could have them. The last date was Christmas Day, which was the 25th. Well, they're not open on the twenty fifth, so I called on the twenty third to see if I could pick them up on christmas eve.And she told me, no, you have to wait until the twenty sixth. Is was ready on the 24th!my wellburton was sent in on Friday pick up after 3 at 7 it wasn't ready I called same lady said it wouldn't be ready till Tuesday. Which was a total lie she was withholding my medication. I got upset cuz I knew she was lying. Supervisor got on the phone and defended her employee. I don't think the supervisor hears all the conversations that this woman has said to me!.Supervisor then filled it. You cannot withhold someone's medication for no reason other.then pure meaness!!!Review from Dirt W

Constantly selling old outdated food both in produce cooking oils frozen veggies peanut butter bottled and can carbonated waters coffees and yet when you come with your receipt. To customer service you got to have someone threatening you on a violent level. When you try to reach Miss Maureen Mitchell you have to deal with a lying secretary named Lisa HayDuke promise in writing to have this person to return a call then get an attitude on a racially hostile note ????Review from Elizabeth-Anne B

Meijers was my favorite store since moving to Ohio from NY in Jan. No more. I know the 3 strikes and you're out theory, but they are getting only one strike. As I do not drive and depend on people helping me, a last minute cancellation today resulted in my not going food shopping and having an empty fridge. I ordered $ 255 worth of food and animal supplies and picked the 9 pm to 10 pm slot as everything else was taken. At precisely 9 pm I rec'd a text saying they would not be coming after all and they have re-booked me for 8 am tomorrow. I read them the riot act, cancelled my order entirely and won't shop with them again. Way way too unreliable.Review from Kathryn S

I shopped at the Carmel Indiana location and was provided with only 80% of the items purchased to take out of the store I did not realize that items were missing; therefore, I called the customer care service number, to no avail. Finally got to speak with the Carmel store via several calls to corporate. I explained the problem to the store manager. She responded that nothing that I was missing was present. REally read the fine print when they text you offers to earn points. I received one to earn extra points making Frederik of Meijer purchases. I did not receive them because I was told my purchases didn't qualify. The link from the text to the app didn't give me that info. When I contacted customer service they gave me a long list of not qualifying purchases. Deli, bakery and on. What are Frederik's items if not deli, bakery, packaged foods. What BS! REad the fine print. After about an hour on the phone, back & forth emails, I finally received the points "as a courtesy".Review from GODDESS A

I am disabled and every time I shop at this gas station Felecia a black gas station cashier teases, taunts, bullies and harrasses me, I have made multiple complaints against her and she continues to harrass me. Something needs to be done about this situation. I should not have to go to other gas stations to get my gas as Meijer has a point system that gives you points when you shop there.Review from Dee G

Products stocked one day then discontinued the next with 5 different reasons explaining why per-the 5 employees asked (i.e. - test this yourself; go ask 5 different employees why the Meijer-brand 64oz High Protein whole milk isn't stocked and see how many different explanations you get), and that's all when you're able to even find anyone to question about products as 9 times out of 10, they're nowhere to be found. The "Splash" water bottles can't be opened without water dribbling out of the plastic bottle due to how thin the bottle's walls are vs. how tight the lids are fastened to the bottles are (you go to turn the lid off but can't without squeezing the bottle itself just enough to leak water out of it due to how much force one needs to twist-off the cap when opening for the first time). They have 7oz (round) stackable glass jars that they haven't been restocked for almost 3 or 4 months now and I'd explain where they're located if their website ever worked well enough to show that information beyond just the "aisle" coordinates (because I guess every store has the same aisle locations?). Their meat department is a joke: They rarely have any steaks out in their display case and when they do, it's almost always so thin that you'd think their only customer base are 80+ year-olds. They used to have all kinds of unique sodas, but I guess those weren't worth keeping stocked (i.e. - their own Meijer-brand 12-pack sodas, Bob Marley sodas, Tran Quini sodas, et al.). They never have any frozen lobster like you can get over at Wal-Mart, never keep their sleep aid pills in-stock, their cologne selection is always in disarray, and apparently they don't even stock butane as nobody in the store knew where it was since I couldn't find any... And there's still no changing rooms for clothes!? Pathetic. I mean, it's clear as day nobody cares about anything in these stores--or at least, not at the Terre Haute, Indiana location. I'm surprised it's even still open.
