Ive heard that they continue to charge you when your membership is up and didnt believe it. Color me surprised, I canceled mine a month in advance and they still charged me. Its either complete negligence on their employees part for not taking and sending that information or MAC gym just doesnt care and they will attempt to cheat you out of your money. Seeing that this is not the first time, Im banking on the latter. ***** stuff.

Your final payment bounced so that is what is due. We can't close an account when money is due. We can take care of it after the payment is made. 

MAC Gym is dedicated to their clients in a professional and caring manner. MAC Gym has state of the art equipment, and the gym is always clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. The trainers are knowledgeable and definitely create workouts specifically for their individual clients. MAC Gym truly exemplifies a genuine desire to enhance an individuals physical fitness. For me, physical fitness is crucial for a joyful , productive life! Thank you for your dedication MAC Gym! Every day is a great day at MAC Gym!

I was trying to figure out the date my contract ended and the would NOT let me see my contract. My contract ends on 11/13. An employee ended up showing me on the computer and said we werent allowed to have copies of it, so I snapped a photo of the screen when he walked away. I turned in my first cancellation notice On 8/15 (months in advance to assist this company to avoid any hiccups). On 8/18 the owner called his regional, talking about me cancelling during MY session on speaker. He had his employee audio record me saying why I dont like the gym and it was really bizarre and weird. The employee apologized a lot. 9/13 I turned in another cancellation letter due to the first one being lost. Also, on 9/13 after I turned in my letter, I spoke to peak payment and my contract is on auto renewal until 2025. I can see it in the app too. 9/17, I found out my letter was lost again so I emailed Mac gym asking for written proof on my letter.. no response. I did the same on 9/18. No response. 9/19 I went into the gym and recorded myself handing the manager a cancellation notice and getting written proof it has been received. I brought two copies, one for him to upload and one for me to keep with his signature. He called me a feminist? This manager was fire the next day for unrelated issues. *** had employees pull me outside to talk away from the cameras so the owner doesnt hear them through the cameras. The employee told me that I am just a dollar sign to the company and the owner and regional manager are doing everything in their power to keep me at the gym. Unfortunately, these 2 employees no longer work there. Peak payment emailed me all of my contracts. Communication is awful, humiliation is high, and unfortunately the gym will know who I am after I upload this. Please dont spam call me telling me to remove this. Is this how you treat someone whos spent $1000s at your gym? Isnt it crazy that peak payment advised me to notify my bank after 11/13

Our member service rep spoke to you on 10/18 and handled all your concerns. Many things listed in your review are inaccurate information. We can address any other concerns you have. You have also used social media to spread lies and inaccurate information online.

Please inform me on what is inaccurate and what is a lie, I can provide the videos and screenshots on bbb if you need me to

Dont use Total scam Lock you into a two year agreement without consent

There is no scam going on. He signed a 2 year legally binding agreement that isn't over yet. 

I know you will read these reviews and think to yourself that there are few personal qualms but it may still be a good gym. DO NOT fall for it. These are fake reviews to balance out the bad ones. Their BBB rating is a 2.07. Go and read those complaints first before making any decisions regarding your financial contribution to this company. Their trainers are not certified and most are fresh out of high school and friends of the child managers. They WILL scam you. Record every conversation you have with them and read everything before signing. Better yet, do not sign. There are much better gyms in the area like Edge which is right down the road or even crunch for less money and actual equipment.I have been to gyms that the owner of *** also owned and its always the same problems. Broken equipment and staff funneling in and out before you can even learn their name.The management at ****** supplemented another location with their dumbbells and plates and there are virtually not enough for everyone. Management stated one set of dumbbells per weight is standard.Their equipment is always broken or about to break. They will hound you endlessly for personal training and keep charging after you are out of contract. Its sad. The community of clients there was so good but the business is so slimy and ************ someone who has been in account management and customer service for over a decade.. if you need a review to tip your decision away from this gym.. let this be it. If I can stop one person from making this terrible decision Ill be happy

We are sorry you feel this way. We don't have children managing our gyms but capable adults. All of our trainers are certified and great at their jobs. We get all our equipment fixed when we are altered that it's broken. As for recordings we have a video with audio of you cussing out our manager. When we reached out to talk to you from management your phone doesn't work. We just got in new dumbbells that we ordered that had been on backordered. We also don't discriminate with someone's age when we hire them.

If I could, I would give this place "0 "stars.What a scam ?!I signed with Mac gym in March 2024.I was looking for boxing instructor.Their website offered boxing. I went there and was " forced" yes forced to signed 2 years contract plus,1 year personal training. ( which was suppose to be boxing only).I told them I don't need 1 year personal training. Membership 79 dol a month. Personal training almost 165 weekly, which is crazy expensive. But they reassured me that I can cancel anytime I'm ready to quit trainer.They " encourage " me sign up for 3 times a week, half an hour session I was set up with very nice young man.He was suppose to be my boxing instructor. Little did I know, he was gone 2 weeks after we started training. He just didn't showed up for session I was not notified. When I expressed my disappointment, I being told that I willbe set up with very " professional " new trainer.Ok.I showed up for session with him No boxing. I should have mentioned I never sow boxing rink.( that was I signed up for )This young man only showed up for 1 session and was gone( again).I went to manager and asked to cancel training agreement But he politely refused to do so.He said " Let me talk to my higher **** Week later they called me, and promised that they set me up( again) with another" wonderful professional " young ********** I set up schedule with him.Again, he also quit without notifying me.While he was working with me( no boxing at all ) he was late every day.Some days he didn't show at all. I should mention that he only lasted 2 weeks. I was promised to get refund for the days trainer/ trainers were late or no show. I never did. They keep charging me for services they have not provided. I tried to have conversation with General manager. No help there either. So now we are in month of September. I stopped going there few months ago.This is predatory, dishonest business.I encourage everyone to stay away from this scammers.

I have reviewed your legal agreements, and you did sign them. In looking at records you haven't been in for 6 months. We have a new great boxing coach we have offered to set you up with a few times not and you have declined. 

My contract for personal training is up at the beginning of September and is set to auto renew. For the past month i've been trying to get the gym not renew. I've tried on multiple occasions to speak with someone about it but i keep getting the run around. Either no manager is available to talk, when i do, they tell me they only handle new contracts and will put a note in my file for someone to reach out to me. Nobody ever calls. I finally got a call from a manger last week, i told them i don't want to auto renew. I also asked about the sessions i've already paid for but was unable to use (72 sessions) due to injury. I was told i need to have a contract to use them. So i need to keep paying in order to use sessions i've already paid for! That is almost $4000 wasted. I was told that they have to look into the matter and would call me right back. Never got a call and it's been almost a week. It had been many years since i worked out and signed up with a PT to get me back into the swing of things and learn some exercises i could do to help with my back issues. I've accomplished that and am ready to just go workout on my own so i don't need a PT anymore. This has been a horrible experience, as soon as someone wants to not pay for something you become a zero priority. It's not like they were going to lose a member, i just don't need the personal training anymore. They just want your money and that's it. It's clear the customer does not matter.I am requesting to end my contract with this gym as i still have 1 year left for my membership. Take the $4000 of unused personal training and use that as my buy out of my contract. I am done with this place.

In looking at the notes in our system the manager has spoken with you a few times. For liability reasons we can't have someone using pt sessions without an active agreement. As outlined in the legally signed agreement you have 53 weeks to use the sessions that you paid for. With an active agreement we could add more to make up for what wasn't used. As for the membership the legally signed agreement is a 24 month term.

Then explain why I am still being charged for PT when I have requested on multiple occasions to have it not renewed. The multiple times Ive spoke with the manager has been 2 times. The first time he called me and said he would call back. Never heard back from him in over 2 weeks. Then he happened to be at the gym the same time I was there and spoke to him in person. He said he would stop the PT and look into what it would take for me to buy out my contract. Im still being charged and havent heard anything from him. Seems to be the trend for this place,
