I signed 2 of my vehicles up for a promotional rate at the Bubble Barn in *********, **. During the week of 9/11/2023, I went into the Bubble *********** and asked the employee when I would need to cancel my account in order to not get charged for an additional month. He said to come in on 9/15/2023 and cancel, and I would not be charged. On 9/15/2023, I returned to the Bubble Barn and canceled my account and confirmed with the employee that I was no longer enrolled and would not be charged. On 9/28/2023 I received my credit card statement showing I had in fact been charged. I called the Bubble Barn and was told I had to cancel before 9/15/2023 in order to not be charged. I spoke with ****** who said he was the manager, and although I explained what had taken place, he said I had agreed to the terms. This is an extremely disappointing experience because not only did I make a good faith effort to abide by the terms and believe what the employees were telling me, but I also did not get to use the services I was paying for because the employees had told me it was no longer valid. In fact I returned and paid for a single wash at one point because I destroyed my access card. I was charged $49.27 per vehicle for services I was not aware I event had.

    Business response

    10/23/2023

The customer was billed on the same day every month of her 3 month promotional period, which we feel is plenty of time to know her billing date.  Our policy is not to refund after the billing date, which was explained her.  This particular customer has also been an unlimited wash customer in the past and knows how our program works.  The manager did explain to her that she could use her pass for the month until October 14 and we always provide replace stickers if they are damaged for any reason so she would have been able to use her membership.  For these reasons we are not providing a refund.

Some consumers may elect to not publish the details of their complaints, some complaints may not meet BBB's standards for publication, or BBB may display a portion of complaints when a high volume is received for a particular business.
