Morning star/sun has done continus payroll clerical errors. Several emails were sent back and forth for clarification. In the end when asked a direct question in regards to back pay. The reply was not answered and was completely ambiguous. In the end nothing was resolved and ambiguity is their means on how to resolve any issue which results in nothing. There services need clear quick replys and a means to solve conflicts.

Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We take all complaints seriously and are committed to addressing any concerns promptly.

We acknowledge that a clerical error occurred where the pay items were grouped together on one line instead of being separated. However, we want to emphasize that the individual received the correct total compensation. The pay code discrepancy on the budget has since been corrected. In regard to the "take back", it reflects the employee's action in which they removed hours from the *** system due to a change in the services provided to the supported individual. This adjustment accurately reflects the actual hours worked and the corresponding wages paid.

We understand that discrepancies can be frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

This company is doing an incredible disservice to the handicapped citizens of SC. Recently I was sent a packet of forms that only an unsophisticated desperate fool would submit! They have the temerity to demand, among other things, the power of attorney to view, adjust and modify my complete tax records with the **** Who is gullible enough to send such a signed form to an unknown company operating out of a strip mall in a state over 1200 miles away? They are also charging $27 per hour fee for their so called financial services. Well, there are 6000 people in this state receiving respite care services . Multiply this by 40 hours per week for each person and do the math. Who the heck is this organization and how can anyone trust this pack of wolves wit so much personal info, that one would just be begging for the inevitable crash and burn when this criminal outfit implodes. *** had the same caregiver for 18 years. Suddenly, this pack of wolves wants me to submit a thick pile of paper when I dont even know who the heck they are? Not a chance! Please investigate this business. Its a matter of when not if when they face federal fraud charges.

    Dear ****************,

I have tried to reach you today by phone and email. The email I have doesnt appear to be correct because it bounced back to me. Morning Sun Financial Services is a vendor fiscal agent under contract with the State of **************, ********** of Disabilities and Special Needs DDSN). We serve participants who are eligible for ******** services and who are interested in self-directing their services. Morning Sun began a transition from another vendor, *********************, in January 2024 when the state selected us as the new vendor.

Enrollment in this program involves a lot of paperwork. ********************* didnt require the same paperwork, because they were not using the national model for self-direction. I appreciate that the paperwork is overwhelming. The participant or their representative signs up to be an employer of their caregivers. In order to become an employer of the caregivers, people must fill out the form SS-4 which is an *** form that is an application for an Employer Identification Number (EIN) and the *** for 2678 which tells the *** that Morning Sun is the employers agent for this employer identification number. There are numerous other forms that go the *** and some that go to the State. When Morning Sun is the vendor fiscal agent we pay the employer taxes for the participants wages. We also withhold taxes from the employees paycheck and deposit those funds with the *** and the State. Regarding the power of attorney, that is relevant only to the Employer Identification Number for this self-directed program and not to your personal tax account.

I would be happy to help you, answer any questions you may have, and help you fill out the forms. We also have a program administrator, ***********************, who is in **************. His job is to oversee the program in **************. **** can assist you too. As you may know, this program is voluntary and you can discuss other options with your case manager, but I think if we can talk about it, thats best.

Other resources provided to participants can be found on our website: www.morningsunfs.com. Under **************, DDSN you will find written guides as well as video guides that walk you through the forms step-by-step.

I can be reached at ************. Nicks number is ************. We also have a customer service line ************ and an email for questions: ********************************************

    Thank you- ******

Around 9/22/22, my company has a 401K account VOYA website only asking if I wanted to get investment advice, so I thought MorningStar would have someone to give me a call or email me to get my consent and to understand my investment goal; but without my consent, no phone call, no email, all the sudden, MoringStar automatically adjust my prolifio on VOYA website on my account, it casued my account from profitable of 17% positive to negative ******%, this is illegal and unacceptable. I spoke to ***** at **************, he said he couldn't figure out who was the person in MorningStar did that to my account.I asked him to report to his manager ****** to investigate, cancel the service with them ( which I never intended to) and repay me the loss of my money back to my 401 K account.
