    I bought a 2017 **** Edge July 2024. The sales person said the car had been checked out, and other than a few small dents, everything works as it should. I decided to purchase after test driving. I soon noticed that the back hatch would shake and could hear air coming in once over 65 mph. I contacted the sales person by email and went back and forth after finding out that the hatch needed to be replaced and the cost is $3500. The sales person basically said there is nothing he can do, and that I agreed to buy the car as is. I did sign the agreement, but only because I trusted that when he said the car was checked out and in good running condition (both lies), that I wouldnt have any problems. Shortly after that, the engine light came on (cylinder 3 misfire). I have since taken it in for repair and had the valve cover gaskets replaced $430. A few days later the engine light back on (same code) engine light has come on 4 times since. Now they are looking at possible major engine damage. I have emailed the manager, and the lady that sent the survey, with no response. I have all the emails saved. I am a single mother who doesnt have a lot of money, and I feel totally taken advantage of by a company that should know better

    We are sorry to here that ********* is having problems with the **** Edge that she purchased from us in July.  We take great pride in the products we represent and strive for full transparency with all of our customers.  ********* did purchase this vehicle as-is with no warranty, which we have customers sign a full disclosure agreement.  This agreement states that they understand they have the option to have the vehicle inspected, that they attest they have inspected the vehicle and are satisfied with the condition, and that any repairs after the sale that fall outside any warranty or service contract is the customers responsibility.  We checked our service records and do not show the vehicle in our service department for repairs at any time after the sale, she may possibly have her own mechanic that she uses but we are unsure.  If she agrees, we would like to take a look at her vehicle in our service department and we can offer a 15% discount on any parts and labor for any repair.  She can reach our service department by calling ************** and ask for Service.  Thank you for the opportunity to see if we can help!
