My family purchased a home 4/2023 the seller represented by Keller Williams Maple Grove. The house was listed in need of only cosmetic updates we asked to inspect plumbing as smell of the sewer overtook the previous heavy smoker stench. The realtors acted as mediators between ******* requested 3% back at closing, as the walk in tub, which they didnt share ************** work, is not a cosmetic fix. They inspected plumbing, & found the sewer pipes to the street had to be repaired, & requested to give us 2k less back at closing to compensate. We agreed, under conditions that they were forthcoming about ANY & EVERY other problem occurring in the house. Seller disclosed that tube came off the sump pump hose & dribbled a little water, but he reconnected it. we moved forward A few days after moving in, we opened cabinet under the sink, & noticed it was wet & smelled badly. The house had been empty before we moved in & turning on the kitchen faucet we found water literally pouring into the cabinet which in turn was pouring into the crawl space under kitchen. Plumbing repair cost $3300, which we asked seller to pay half of, from forfeited 2k from closing, since this had been an issue they failed to disclose They denied payment saying it wasnt their problem. Professional plumber confirmed that this was the leak filling the crawl space with water, & that a tube from a sump pump couldnt have caused this much of a mess, causing a three week delay in covering the dirt floor in the crawl space with plastic. Also, it caused a large strip of black mold across the drywall, behind the sump pump the seller insisted he was working on, therefore couldnt have not seen it, the trail leading right back to below the sink. Shame on this realtor for allowing unethical actions on the part of their seller not being aware of what they were selling & allowing us to move into dangerous conditions with our 6 month old Reading customer reviews, lack of morals seems to be common.
