Consumers beware, DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!!! Zero stars should be an option!!! I received a bill over double the quoted amount given. I called and spoke with the office manager of coding and billing services. I requested an audit of the coding and billing on my account. I happen to be a senior medical coder that specializes in surgery coding and believe there was a coding/billing error as they were trying to charge for double/overlapping services which is not allowed. The office manager looked at the account and insisted the coding and billing of the anesthesia services were correct, she was extremely rude and completely unprofessional!!! I then requested the anesthesiologist report and an itemized bill, which she agreed to. After I got off the phone with the office manager, I double checked billing anesthesia guidelines and confirmed I was correct. I called the anesthesia billing office again (about 15 minutes later) and a customer service rep answered the call (not the office manager) she informed me there was a billing error and my bill was HALF of what they were trying to bill me!!!

Zero Stars. My son had surgery at *************** He is uninsured. Finally got the bill and when I called they do not give discounts for uninsured patients. I thought this was a law in *********. They will give a 20% discount ONLY if you pay the bill in FULL. If on a payment plan - no discount at all. The representative said that they sent a letter asking for insurance information which was not received. SHe was not very helpful or courteous. DIdnt want to work with me - just wanted to collect $.

Not able to locate the patient. No name was given. Correct, we can give a 20% discount for uninsured patients. If you cannot pay this in full, we are able to set you up on a payment plan on the balance. This would be working with you, if you can't pay in full, we would be able to set you up on a payment plan. Thanks,

I wish I could give zero stars. It is beyond me that there have been so many complaints filed against this company and yet they somehow have an A+ rating with the BBB.My son was scheduled for oral surgery in October, and the hospital uses anesthesiologists from this outside group that bills separately. I had 3 separate phone calls with people at their second-party billing service, ************** Systems, and they all said their policy is that they dont contact insurance ahead of time to give patients a predetermination of benefits. They would only give me an estimate for what it would cost if we DIDNT go through insurance (over $4k) because too many things could change the day-of, and then said I needed to contact insurance myself to find out what they will cover. (I did that, and ***** said I should have the provider contact them because they needed more information than I could give them.)Now we've gotten 2 separate paper bills from them for the anesthesiologist and nurse anesthetist as opposed to one bill from this one company who handles both of these medical professionals. No emails at all like any other normal medical organization, and it sounds from other people's reviews like if you lose the physical bill and haven't paid it yet, you're just screwed and they're sending you to collections, as if maybe that's actually their goal. The anesthesia group has 30+ 1-star ****** reviews all about their shady billing practices. There is no website, no emailits almost impossible to figure out who actually works for/runs this company. The BBB lists ************************* under business management for Metropolitan Anesthesia Network. ************************* has a LinkedIn profile that lists him as **************************** Manager of ************** Systems, the supposed second-party billing company that handles Metropolitan Anesthesia Networks finances. Sounds like its two separate companies run by the same shady person.

I went in for surgery early this year, I never received anything from mail regarding in my bill. A few months go by and I received a letter from a collection agency that has been harassing me to pay my bill. I Called metropolitan anesthesia to question why my bill was higher than my last bill (same surgery procedure and same time), and why I did not receive any notice. The proof the American account advisor gave me had no apt number on it, but when I called metro, they knew my apt number, I have not received not one bill from them. When I asked the lady on the phone she stated that it looks like they tried sending it by mail and did NOT contacted me since the first bill. Arent you suppose to receive a call or send patients a few notices before selling my information to American account and advisors. They had no trouble trying to contact me at all. And through HIPAA youre not allowed to give nor sell information to 3rd parties. Ive been getting harassed like I stated earlier from the 3rd party since receiving the notification from American account advisor.
