Date : 11/2/2024 Service Cost: $2,130 Services: Moving services.Dispute: At the tailend of the job, the last item to be done was to drop off a fridge at the original destination. Fridge was delivered, brought inside, and water line installed; placed back against wall. The water line was not placed on correctly (a contractor that viewed the damage said it was finger tightened & barely connected, meaning you wouldn't need tools to undo it). This caused water to leak throughout the main **************** creating substantial damage to the main **************** of our home. Hardwood, carpet, ceilings, doors, walls and trim are all damaged. This has been communicated this with the moving company. It's required that companies have liability insurance, particularly when it comes to property damage, which is what occurred here. Aside from the water damage they also broke a bed, damaged the door to the basement and put a large scratch in our dining room table set. I was willing to overlook these additional damages but the point is that the work was negligent. They have tried to deflect this at every turn, saying that the fridge service was "provided as a courtesy"; I paid for their time ($260/hour), and there was no pushback to moving the fridge. If it is something they were concerned with doing, it could have been discussed, and I would have found alternative means to deal with *********** tried to resolve?: No. At one point, they said they might pay something toward my home insurance deductible; when I provided my home insurance deductible amount, there was no further communication about it.Overall: Businesses have liability insurance to protect themselves and the customer, they should have no issue providing this information and letting their insurance discuss the matter with my insurance to sort out the best method to resolve. It's concerning that they do not provide the information, & brush off incidents where there is a magnitude of damage left behind.

I hired this company for a short distance move on Saturday, November 5th. The movers were hired to only move boxes and all the furniture. We did all the packing. The morning the movers came I had left one box open to pack of some important items we needed to use, so it was the last box packed. We noticed the box missing the next day. In the box there was a record player $200 and a blanket worth $100. There were also various household items that needed to be packed last as we needed to use them. The only items I am concerned about are the record player and the blanket. I emailed the company and they responded the same day that they didnt have it and they cleaned out their truck at the end of the night. And they hoped the items would show up. I then responded a few days later after checking over and over, every room, every box we have in our house, and it was still nowhere to be good. I stated that I would like them to do something. They wrote back with a very generic response that asked where did you last see the box. I told them, when the movers took it out to the truck with other boxes. I saw them take the box with my own eyes. I have not heard anything back after that point.
