My roof suffered hail/tree damage in May 2022. I got connected with Tacheny through Theresa (Office Manager) and John (Project Consultant). John came out, did a thorough inspection, explained what he found and why he recommended filing an insurance claim, and explained next steps clearly before asking me to sign anything. John showed up at the insurance adjustor meeting early and prepared. He was professional with the adjustor, who found what he said he found and explained next steps similarly. Once I received my claim summary from the insurance company, John met with me to answer questions and show me material samples. He even caught a mistake in the claim summary; the adjustor undercounted the damaged gutter length. Soon after he followed up with them, the insurance company acknowledged the mistake and sent a supplemental check. Due to the size of the 2022 storm, it took a couple months before my roof and gutters were replaced. But John set that expectation ahead of time and checked in periodically. Install day came without any surprises; I had to replace some rotten sheathing but, again, John set that expectation ahead of time (due to the age of my house). The gutter crew came within a couple weeks of the roofing crew and also did quality work. In conclusion, insurance claims can be a nightmare. With John and Tacheny, it wasn't. I'm sure they're not perfect (no one is), but I can see why they've been in business a long time.Review from Daniel B

This company was very difficult to work with. Had to be watched by me to make sure work was done properly and correct materials used. What should have been a 3 day repair took probably 8-9 days due to improper supplies and a crew that should have known better. They didn't even order the correct soffit material! But the wrong material was installed. You should be able to trust a company to do things correctly, especially when they communicate over and over that they will "restore up to code" I had to point out all their errorsReview from Nou T

I have been working with Alfredo with Tacheny Exteriors since Fall of 2022 for the Hail damage claim that we had in May of 2022. All communications was good up until July of 2023 when I was concerned that no work or effort was being done to see where we were at with our project since my insurance company has paid out roughly about $28,000 that was cashed by Tacheny Exteriors already. Since then I waas given the run around that they were waiting for the insurance to review add't quotes etc. I've since reached out to my insurance company and wanted to see who was actually holding up the delays per my contractor company. The insurance company informed me all they have have reviewed and approved all that was sent to them from the contractor company. Since then I let the contract know of this but has not heard from the project consultant or the company itself. I have left messages and texts messages to have him and upper management to get back to me as we need to get our money back and take our business elsewhere and have not once gotten a response from them. The last communication we had was July 15, 2023. I will be pursuing legal actions and filing complaints against this company for money paid and work not completed let alone anything ordered for this project that was supposed to be for siding and roofing. APPALLING! Non-existent communication, very low level quality of work, poor products, and rude staff. I would never recommend Tacheny Exteriors. It took over 2.5 years for us to end up with our “finished project”. After years of unsuccessful visits from Tacheny Exteriors to try their best to complete our job my wife and I reluctantly agreed to finalize our contract with Tacheny Exteriors, knowing that we would have to redo, and complete some details on our own. On two instances we were directly lied to by separate employes. I attempted multiple times to get the contact information for the owner to explain our story but was refused the details by Theresa the general manager. From the start this project was a nightmare, so I started taking detailed notes for every visit, call, and email. Unfortunately my notes will not fit within the charter limits of this review. Very long story short. We hired Tacheny Exteriors to remove the screens from our porch and install windows and a new storm door, as well as replace the windows in our attic. We had to have the windows reordered and replaced due to damage and quality issues. We had the storm door replaced 3 times due to improper installation and shipping damages. We had multiple different contractor/installer teams on our project over the 2.5 years all blaming installation quality issues on someone else. Tacheny took no accountability for the massive delays on our project due to their lack of communication, and ability to to hire qualified installers. Shame on Tacheny Exteriors. We are extremely dissatisfied with our final result.Review from Jessica K

I have been working with Lisa from Tacheny for almost a year now after a major hail storm hit my house last May. She has been very diligent to make sure that I receive all that is needed from my insurance company to make my house beautiful and back to its beautiful state, if not better. They already put a new roof on my home and garage, which was done quickly and with quality. I also decided to use them to add seven new windows to my home. I am also happy with the work done there. I would highly recommend using this company for any of your home needs.Review from Sandra M

Tacheny reroofed my house and made repairs to my chimney in 2014. The workmanship was sloppy and at one point they drilled right through the decking on my cathedral ceilings. I paid several thousand dollars more for chimney repairs at the time. Recently, the soffit and ***** started to collapse and we discovered that the entire side of the house was rotten by the chimney. The insulation board just crumbled and was removed with a pitchfork. I am forced to replace my roof again after only 8 years!!! Tacheny also came and removed ice dams in 2019 and charged me $3500. I would definitely not recommend them after this dismal experience. I am working with a really good contractor and the difference is quite impressive.Tacheny Exteriors Response

We are sorry to see this comment. 2/27/2019 when roof leaks were reported the problem was investigated and leakage was occurring due to deterioration of the chimney. At that time, Tacheny advised that the chimney needed to be retuck pointed and to contact a brick installer. Regarding the ice dam charge, the snow removal was $910. The additional cost was incurred because you requested that all of the ice be removed from the roof which was an hourly rate of $375 per hour. We were not notified of any issues since to be able to assist you. Your roof passed city inspection in 2014 and there were no faulty findings. We have a photo of your chimney flashing which was shared with you and the leaking issue was due to your chimney. If you did not address it at that time and waited, it may have caused water damage to your home as we observed in 2019.Review from Char F

A little over a year after I had my roof stripped down to the plywood and reroofed I noticed an area where a vent was removed where there is no plywood. I called the company and they were supposed to get back to me which never happened.Review from Alison V

Working with Tacheny has been great to say the least! Their knowledge of the products we are using & industry knowledge are impressive and put my husband and I at ease. I met with about 6 other companies & our rep is by far the most informative, and takes an "education first" approach. She pointed out things about our house that no other contractor had even mentioned.... and I met with 6 others! We are so excited to see our house when it's all done. Bye-bye cheap vinyl siding and energy efficient windows and squeaky doors. We can't wait to have the best looking house on the block that will provide comfort and durability for years to come.Review from Craig L
