I had then install new doors, trim, tile, and paint the living room. Everything looks great! I'm gonna have them come back and install new countertops, a backsplash, and paint the kitchen. Pat *****

I would never recommend this company. It took them months to complete two rooms in my unfinished basement. The work is really patchy and sloppy. The closet doors don’t hang straight. Both rooms flooded when the snow melted this spring and we are paying thousands of dollars to repair damages. They did not properly insulate the closet in the bedroom, and the room was so cold this winter that it was unusable. He requested his final payment prior to finishing my project even though the contract states final payment is at completion of the project. He changed rates mid-project. We recently got an appraisal to see the value of our home with the new finished basement and found multiple permits for the project that are still open and the final inspections were apparently not done.

First of all, we were NEVER informed by the customer that the room in the basement was cold, or the doors needed adjusting.  I was surprised, and shocked, when notified by the bbb almost a full year after we finished, that she had posted a review. We had no idea there were any issues. We take pride in our work and always respond to customers. When we initially discussed the job in February 2021 the customer stated she wanted to "clean up the basement" and create a Mud room, and office.  We were told that a babysitter would be on-site with her child, and another persons child, so we could only work certain hours. We framed the walls, and had a framing inspection which passed. The basement floor in the mudroom area was very uneven, the slab had settled so we left the flooring off the original estimate (there were different options) the work took place during the pandemic, which as we all know, slowed things down. That combined with day care schedule slowed the job down even more. We discussed the layout for the electric and I called an electrician to do the work. When it was time to choose a floor type, she chose vinyl plank for the mudroom, and carpet for the office. This was an additional cost to the original estimate. Her assertion that we "changed rates" is not true. The floor had sunk almost 3 inches in some places and required repair. I also messaged the homeowners regarding getting an electrical inspection, they never responded. The review is very misleading when it mentions flooding. How does remodeling cause melting snow and flooding? The rooms we worked on are on opposite ends of the house. Many homes experience water issues in the spring. The spring of 2022 was an extremely bad year in Minneapolis for flooding.. This house was built in 1924...the house is on the market as I'm writing this. It lists "added" sump pump as one of the upgrades. We respond to customers when they have issues. We have never asked for reviews but in the future plan on it.
