My sister had work done at Woodbury Dental Arts (WDA). They took her money up front. The owner of the company absconded with the money from over 200 people, closed the clinic, declared bankruptcy, and skipped town. My sister had had some work done and was scheduled to get more done according to the plan. A few days before her next planned appointment she found out on ********* that WDA had closed. She was left without ANY teeth. WDA has had no contact with her. They are being investigated by the Woodbury Police. Governor **** is no help. Attorney General ******* is no help. He owes other creditors $millions, according to the Mpls paper - all the patients are up a creek without a paddle and have to finish their work elsewhere at additional expense.

I went to Woodbury Dental Arts for dental implants. I paid in advance for 2 implants. During the waiting period, the business closed down. My implants are not complete. The teeth were pulled, so I have an empty space where the implants should go.

7/11/2023: I paid Woodburydentalarts 45,000$. Upfront for full mouth dental implants which was done by Dr. ********************** Kamel. He abruptly closed his practice 3/01/2024 without notifying patients. I dont have my permanent teeth yet. So I am left with temporary bridges and additional expenses at another dental office to complete the process. The implants have a warranty but doubt that will stand if implants fail

I have an ongoing contractual medical relationship with Dr. ********************** Kamel and Woodbury Dental Arts to complete a full dental implant procedure. During this process I've expressed many concerns regarding the basic practices of patient care and expertise as a priority vs. the conflicting ongoing 'teaching facilty' practices that incentivise additional surgeries and multiple unskilled technicians attempting to learn a skill while claiming to perform delicate medical procedures in my mouth. During the process, my dentist was placed under 'suspended with supervision' from his licence to practice and later COMPLETELY LOST HIS LISCENCE to practice while CONTINUING to schedule and perform surgery. I have asked for my medical records REPEATEDLY with no success and finally been told 'they have been sitting at the front desk' I was scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks time because my established technician was 'on vacation ' and on the day of that appointment ( today Monday, 03/04/2024) the entire dental office is now closed for business. All referral phones, emails and AI generated service support systems are closed down. My dental devices/implants/surgically placed supports are missing, broken, and or incomplete. My physical health and my financial well-being are now both compromised and in immediate jeopardy with no prospects of a resolution.

I began treatment with Dr. ********************** ********************** for a braces and/or Invisalign consultation. I ended up with Invisalign treatment plan. The plan did not go well - my teeth were shaved, sawed, I had metal brackets that repeatedly and painfully broke. He pulled a tooth on my upper right side- leaving a large space. Then he placed braces on. Braces removed after treatment. This was over a two year period. Immediately after braces removal- my teeth were scaped abrasively -removing the enamel. My teeth have since cracked and broken. I gave needed 3 crowns and a root canal. I have since seen 3 orthodontists, my dentist regularly- and still need an implant to replace the tooth he needlessly pulled. In gathering my consultations for repair ( after Covid shut down) all professionals were in agreement Dr.**********************s work had permanently weakened, cracked and damaged my teeth. I have spent over $4000 in repair work so far/ and have much more to do. I did sit down and gave a conversation with Dr.********************** to review my dissatisfaction- that did not go well. I asked for my records and treatment plan- not all was given. I want to know besides what I paid in cash, what they billed my insurance company. When I asked why he needed to pull my tooth l, he denied at first. My husband was with me to witness the conversation. My primary care physician had wanted me to wait for correction until ***** passed as I have Lupus. I am left with permanent damage. I have before and after X-rays. My dentists notes and 3 separate, independent consultations. All consultations and my primary dentist and Dr. ********************** are in the same city. With each consultation, they were familiar with **************** work and it was very clear what had been performed and happened as a result. My teeth and jaw are now not aligned and I experience pain and difficulty. This is my first step in resolution. I feel I was wrongfully charged and he performed procedures he should not have or was not well trained to do.

Dr ********************** Kamel pressured me into having two additional crowns done on my two front teeth on July 5th, 2022. This hadnt been a part of my initial treatment plan up until the moment he realized there was a gap between my teeth due to his poorly done braces work. I have TMJ issues now. Today, March 2, 2023 I have extreme tooth pain in my front tooth, was told they dont work on teeth unless it is an implant, and went to another dentist who told me I need a root canal. Fr Kamel did not do the anesthetic well when doing more oral surgery for the other 3 dentals implants, which led to very painful procedures. I have paid over $14,000 for the cumulative dental work done at this point.

I called her  to try to resolve her issue. She told me  she was pressured to have 2  crowns done on her front two teeth.  She signed off stating she was happy with the ortho treatment BEFORE we removed the braces. In our call she said he suggested  the front two teeth crowns with the others for a better esthetic result.  A consent was signed re: the risks and benefits of the treatment. The 2 were free.  She said she was in no position to make a decision like this as she was under anesthesia. I asked her if she was sedated  she said no, but he had already provided novocaine.  When she called the office and said she had a toothache that she was referred to Park Dental as Dr. ********************** sold the general practice portion of our office to them as of January 2023. In my phone call to her, I apologized for miscommunication as we would see patients who recently had treatment done, to evaluate as is within warranty period. I offered to have her come in for root canal at No charge and she said no. I explained that there are many reasons why a tooth requires a root canal but  tooth was sound when the crowns were completed. She  stated that she no longer trusts our office as she read  Yelp reviews and feels those negative reviews are more valuable than positive ****** reviews so even though she has not had any concerns with her implants she believes that those were done poorly. In response to the above complaint, at no time did she say anything during or after the implant procedures indicating she was in pain. She was provided with RX's and post op instructions. Patient was upset with me on  phone call and said she did not want to speak  anymore and I apologized that she was frustrated, I  just watned to find a solution. I asked if it would be ok if I reviewed her chart and call her. She said ok. I spoke to Dr.and he offered to pay for her root canal at an office of her choice. I called her and left a vm also sent an email stating Dr. **********************'s offer.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I had the root canal completed yesterday and will have the bill sent to Woodbury Dental Arts.
