2019 MDX with approximately ****** miles. We took the vehicle to the Acura dealer for the crankshaft recall. They installed a new crankshaft and bearings for the recall fix. 5 days after picking up the vehicle; a loud knocking was coming from the oil pan and the check engine light came on while driving. The car was essentially not drivable at that point. We barely got the car home going 30 MPH. Called Acura dealership and they instructed us to tow the car to their service department. Their mechanics diagnosed and stated that it spun a rod bearing after the recall fix. Metal shavings was found in the pan. However, they wouldnt exactly say what caused the spun bearing but said it could have been caused from the wrong size bearings from the initial recall fix. Acura dealership in **********, ** are only replacing the crankshaft and bearings for the second repair. I have safety concerns that the engine might fail because of the improper fix. Metal was found in the oil pan, which suggests microscopic metal pieces in the engine. This would compromise the safety and reliability of the vehicle. Since the dealership is reliable for the second repair; they are only patching the problem. They should install a new long/short block or give a warranty on their fix.

On January 15th  Mr. ****** brought their vehicle to St Louis Acura to have a rod bearing recall performed.  Five days later Mr. ******* MDX was towed to the dealership.  After inspecting the car, it was found to have spun a rod bearing, damaging the crank in the process.  The cause of the spun bearing was undetermined, as the work previously performed appeared to be complete and correct.  After contacting Acura corporate the decision was made to replace the engine short block.  This replacement will be done at no cost to the customer, and it will carry a *********** warranty.

The service advisor prematurely informed the customer that we were only replacing the crank.  He did so based on the technicians initial findings.

Im keep receiving coupons and flyers from Mungenast Acura. I have contacted this business many many times in the past to have them please stop sending me junk. I have been told several times of my information has been removed and I will know longer receive any junk, however continue to receive garbage from this company, I am reaching out to Better Business Bureau because I am running out of options and what else to do to let the corporate exchange with the company know to please remove my address from further mailings as I am tired of calling about this every single month. They need to put a link on their website for customers like myself to do it themselves.

Yesterday, my TL started having an oil consumption issue that Acura was aware of, I was not. Since my car is no longer under warranty (note: I've been going to this dealer on schedule, I'm the single owner of the car) the car has no other issues, now I need to pay 8K to fix a known issue since 2015. No one at this location advised us of the known issue or tested the car for the issue. I was told, they only tested cars having the problem at the time of service and that it was probably noted on one of our service documents. For an issue of the magnitude, a service rep should have discussed this with us following one of the many standard service appointment. This location advised us to reach out to customer relations that told us the same thing, it is pass warranty. This is unsatisfactory for Acura and this location.

The vehicle was purchased new on November 19, 2010.  American Honda published a Service Bulletin on May 18th, 2019, issuing a warranty extension on certain vehicles that were excessively consuming oil.  The initial extension provided 6 months of coverage regardless of age or mileage.  On November 18th, 2019, the warranty extension reverted to coverage of 8 years or 125,000 miles (whichever comes first).  Since the customer’s original in-service date was November of 2010, their warranty extension expired after the initial six-month extension ran out (on November 18th, 2019).

Mungenast St Louis Acura has service records that show a Mr. Lewis has visited the dealership with a 2011 Acura TL once in 2018 and once again in 2020.  Since there was not a visit in 2019, Mungenast St Louis Acura never had the opportunity to discuss the warranty extension to the owner. According to the service bulletin, American Honda sent the owners of affected vehicles notification of this campaign.

I bought a used car from Mungenast Acura on 2/20/2023. I was told the title, emissions and inspection would be mailed to me in 5 business days. It has been 6 weeks and I have not received any paperwork, As of right now I am unable to license my car and I am past the 30 day deadline. I have emailed the company and they informed me they did not have the title and would mail it out as soon as possible. After researching what to do, I found out it is illegal to sell a car without a title in Missouri. I was also told over the phone by the dealership that they may have to apply for a salvage title. If that is the case, that will cause the price of my car to depreciate and I feel that possible refund and or compensation would be needed.

Our Manager **** ******** has spoken to the customer and explained the situation with the title.  We are hoping to receive the title from *** ******** this week.  **** assured *** ******* that he will definitely not be receiving

a salvage title and we will be taking care of any late fees because of this title issue. **** felt the conversation went well and that the customer understood the situation and was satisfied..

I purchased an extended warranty with the purchase of a new 2021 Acura RDX ASpec. I traded the vehicle in on a new Tesla Model 3 on September 24, 2022. I reached out to Munganest Acura for a refund for the extended warranty. I was sent paperwork via email from Munganest finance manager ******* ******* and it was completed November 5 2022. I have not received the refund, nor have I been updated as to why.

I have spoken to the finance manager ******* *******, who has been in contact with Mr, ****** by email. ******* has let him know in several emails that we still need his signature on the Acura care cancellation form and still need a signed odometer statement, as they are both required by Acura for us to process his cancellation. He has responded to the emails but has not sent us the forms with the signature on them. ******* has also put a copy in the mail to him to sign and return since he has not emailed them to us. We will gladly refund his cancellation money after we receive it from Acura, but this process cannot be started until we have the signed documents that have been requested.
