My Husband and I took out financing a loan and opened an insurance account upon a used vehicle on the lot of this Awesome, clean, and remarkable lot on the 12 th day of October, 2024. The employees were highly experienced, knowledgeable, tactful, and friendly professionally, greeting my Husband and I with a Smile of confidence and assurance, the whole process went smooth and quickly with ease filling out the paperwork and getting everything approved. We had quite a memorable good experience. Carter Auto Plaza St. Peters.. did NOT disappoint.Review from Brian H

They are frauds and crooks. They ran my credit With out my permission. I bought a car with a check told them not to run my credit. Seeing I had a check. ******************* new I had a check. No problem. Got there and ******* said they could not take the check. The salesman said that ******************* said it was okay. She said she needed to run my credit. I told her no I would walk. When I left they did it anyway. I have excellent credit and didn't need anything from them.Auto Plaza St. Peters, LLC Response

***** sorry you are feeling the need to leave such a negative review! You came into the dealership on August 28 and you were working on a deal, on our **** Grand ******** While getting the paperwork you needed for your credit union, you became unsettled, began hollering about not wanting to buy the vehicle, it was too much and you left! The next day, you called back wanting the paperwork to be forwarded to your credit union. We complied, based on the information from the night before, sent the Bill of Sale, in which there were no hidden fees as you state, but an administrative fee, in which most dealers and the state charge. Your text response was: Lose my number don't text me again don't call me we had a deal for 13 Grand you sent me an invoice for **** something keep the f****** car on your lot for another month I don't care So you AGAIN became unsettled! We then took more money off the sale price to accommodate selling you the vehicle for what you wanted! Yes **** agreed to the deal, not the personal check, and you were getting your own bank financing.Unfortunately, just a general rule, we do not take personal checks for thousands of dollars. You did not bring in a cashiers check from your bank, which is guaranteed funds for your purchase. You agreed to running your credit by writing your social security down and giving it to us to do so, (security and video cameras were in use), in order to write a personal check for $13,000. YOU SAID YES TO THE DEAL! There is nothing to make right, but for two weeks, it has just been you and your wife calling, screaming explicit foul language and making threats. You continue to call and harass us and we really do not know what you want us to "make right".Though we are in business to sell cars, we too wish we had kept our car on our lot! Again, we are sorry you're not satisfied with us!Review from Raven J

This company sold me a lemon and knowing they sold me a lemon and resulted with me having to come out of an additional ******* to get the car running properly but still their issues with the vehicle til this day and also resulted in me not having a vehicle for 3 months and losing jobs and other opportunities. The customer service is horrible after receiving the vehicle and the manager ************************* general manager was only nice at the end due not placing on BBB at that time when stating I was going to put on BBB he stated he didnt have to help me and to leave I advise I wont if you help clearly he didnt and at then end I was sold a lemon and was provided false car fax documents as well 5 mo later from February when purchasing the vehicle still does not run properly I would provide a no star because this business deserves this please dont do business with them I can put additional **** and the warranty they provided was basic and didnt pay for all the issues on the vehicleReview from Laura T

My daughter started having issues almost immediately with the car. Burning smells, brake lights coming on (after 7 weeks) , heat not working, clunking. I had someone do a quick check over the car when I first got it, but after a month or so of issues, I took it to the shop. I was faced with $3700 worth of repairs. $2600 of which were ALL SAFETY issues! The shop let me know that the car could never have passed inspection and someone surely turned the other way when passing it. The struts were also blown, this was a $1100 repair, and I ended up having them do work for both the safety issues and the struts. I titled and registered a car that had a fraudulent safety inspection. I contacted the dealer, I spoke to Mike a few times. He tells me ***** does their inspections and I let him know there is no way it could pass. The list was extensive and were mainly brake issues. He keeps pushing me off saying he will look into it. Asked for my paperwork from the mechanic and I sent that. He will not respond to emails. Will not return phone calls. He is now dodging me. I told him I would give him time to resolve this and reimburse me for some of the cost, specifically the safety issues that should have been addressed prior to selling the car and that I will assume the cost of the struts. Now, I have to report them to DOR, MO Highway Patrol and a few other agencies that investigate inspection fraud. I also have to see my options with a Consumer Protection Attorney. The part that bothers me the most is I told them this was for my teen daughter. My baby could have been seriously harmed over safety issues. She has transported her 3 year old sister to school on several occasions.Review from Kwanzaa C

Wait times and policy they just made up are ridiculous. They give you the run around about your gap insurance refunds and try to make it seem like huh are causing them an issue when you are calling about your refund. They are liars money hungry cowards. They make up policies as they go! **** and ********* are liarsAuto Plaza St. Peters, LLC Response

Ms. ******* *****, we are really sorry you are frustrated at the policies and procedures of the insurance companies. We agree it can be time-consuming. Unfortunately, we are at their mercy along with you and have to follow those procedures and policies for the total loss of your vehicle. We cannot just make up our own. We certainly do not believe you were lied to or any monies were kept from you, just did not fall into your desired timeline. Again, we apologize it was not resolved how you wanted.Review from Kyle M.

This company is by far the worst company to buy a car from. The managers will make you promises and never follow through with them. Do not believe their "we will treat you like family speeches" ************** team is by far the worst as well. They will dodge your phone calls or say they will call you right back but then they won't. I had a very simple problem that they made a huge deal. I gave them months of opportunities to fix the issue and they kept saying they would, but ignoring me when I tried to schedule an appointment. Don't trust them and go somewhere else. **** the price chopper is a salesman and he will do everything/say anything to get you to buy a car! I gave them many chances to fix the problem before I would leave a review and now we are at the 7-8 month **** and they have done nothing. So I hope I can save others from future problems with this company!Auto Plaza St. Peters, LLC Response

**** we are sorry you feeling this way about our company. You bought this car on 12/10/2021 and at the time of delivery, you were told there was only ONE KEY! This is a very common and daily practice for us to let customers know if the vehicle has one or two keys available. However, you insisted you were told differently, and that we "owed you"! So to honor you, we have made several appointments(at least 8) with you, to meet the key company, that services our account for keys and you have missed ALL of them. In your last call to set up an appointment, the manager on duty, stated that if you did not make it, we would no longer honor giving you an EXTRA KEY FOB, because you have failed to show up several times. Normal practice for us is to have anything that we would owe to any customer, taken care of within 30 days so that it is charged appropriately to the deal. Again, we are sorry but do appreciate your feedback so that we may make improvements in the future.Review from clark s
