I took my jeep that I purchased one month ago to get an inspection to have it legal for tags @ *******. I just purchased this from the dealership one month ago & it was cleared through the garage and drove like a dream. On September 26, I went into Meineke for an inspection. They passed my inspection and I paid $12 But after paying it, they told me I had bad ball joints, and bad bearings. They scheduled me an appointment that same day to bring it to them on September 28 to be serviced for bearings and ball joints. My inspection says clear and mentions nothing about these parts being bad. My friend rode with me there and it was perfect & it has driven for a month straight. Ive learned the law to pass inspection if it needed parts. The minute I got out of the shop my friend and I went to drive, and I about flipped because I cannot keep it on the road. I called instantly & brought it back in five minutes. I have a running vehicle that passed inspection two days before by you people and I drove it there just fine and after it leaves, I cant drive it? They put it on the rack 2 other times and told me I was crazy my F-ing jeep drove fine & hung up. I am now foot! I want Meineke to do the right thing and they laughed. 4 more mechanics have looked at it & told me theres no way this couldve passed inspection if was being truthful they have messed my steering up and no one between 4 mechanics can figure out what theyve done But its bad. I called corporate and never got an answer so I called two more times. Will not make right by this & I dont know what to do since no other mechanic can figure out what they did but they agreed they messed it up somehow. I was told they mustve messed it up. Today that mechanic saw a clean cut completely threw my wheel & tire Which they stated something bad happened in the shop They also believe they messed my steering box. I have a vehicle under warranty is a month old was driving perfect and now does not drive since them. HELP!

7008775938D82On August 30 at 09:52 am, we spoke with a customer concerning her 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. She had recently purchased the vehicle from a dealership in ********, ********, and called us about a brake issue. She mentioned that her son worked at the dealership and that the Jeep had been taken in as a trade-in and had not been checked in the shop because it had been reserved for one of the salesman's purchases. The salesman could not obtain a loan, so her son set the vehicle aside for her. She also explained that it was a ****** system" arrangement, as the owner knew her well and her son worked at the dealership. She mentioned that the vehicle had yet to go through the shop before they contacted her. We scheduled an appointment for a complimentary visual inspection of the brake system on Tuesday, September 03, 2024, at 08:00 am, but she did not show up for the appointment.

We were contacted by the client on 09/24/24 for a state inspection of her Jeep so she could get it licensed. Despite some play in the upper and lower ball joints, the vehicle passed the state inspection. In ********, tolerances for ball joint movement are allowed; for this year's make and model, the allowed movement is less than 1.25 mm for the lower joint and less than 1.5mm for the upper joint. Although there was some movement, the ball joints were recommended for replacement but not rejected for the ***. We scheduled an appointment for the ball joint replacement and completed the repair on 09/26/2024. The customer also asked if we could install a lift kit she had purchased while replacing the ball joints. The lift kit she had bought would raise the vehicle by 2 inches. When we asked her about the purpose of the lift kit, she mentioned it was for cosmetic appearances. We then informed her that she already had a 2" lift of a different style installed. It was a block lift placed on top of the existing suspension springs, and we explained that, in our opinion, the ride height and appearance would remain the same. It's important to note that the existing block lift directly affects the overall stability and handling of the vehicle, which were the client's complaints.

I reached out to the dealership where she bought the Jeep to inquire about any pre-check sales list or state inspection they may have done. They informed me that the last service record was from 2020 and they did not perform any pre-check to the sale. Additionally, I have contacted three of the shops the client mentioned visiting after our ball joint replacement. One shop stated they advised her to get new tires, as they observed high and low tread blocks and uneven tire wear. The tires have a date code from 2020. Another shop noted drag link play, trac bar play, left front outer tie rod play, and caster arm play, while the third shop had no record of her visit.

The client claims she was cursed at, laughed at, and hung up on, but these allegations are untrue. We have reviewed the audio recording in its entirety regarding the alleged cursing with a client representative who was on the line.

    Complaint: 22378224

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because:

Half of what was stated in this business response is ABSOLUTELY untrue, and very unprofessional to even realize that not only was I treated horrible after giving them my money and them claiming my jeep was "driving great for a lifted jeep", but they actually stood up as to "fight" my ******** until he made it clear "are you sure you want to go here?"

On Monday, September 17th, I indeed called ***, the owner- as instructed by the ***, my attorney, as well as the 6 ********s that worked on my vehicle after ******* refused to make it right.  *** had been on vacation, and would "make it right, since he was not there for the last 2 weeks to confirm HIS ********s screwed my vehicle.  I was quite surprised to see that he treated me as dumb, was blaming other ********s that looked at the jeep AFTER they screwed it up!!! Fact is, Premier Auto FIXED it to the point of "DRIVEABLE" (something I could not do for over a week thanks to *******, as I needed to get help for the unsafe,  broken jeep at their hands.) **** did a wonderful job as he explained that the ball joints were over tightened, which in turn made the wheel loose, ,which also cut the wheel clean accross.  He also stated this is what "ruined" my tire, which I have reciepts for- is less than a month old.

I am very interested in hearing WHO they supposedly "talked" to, as I spoke with the DEALERSHIP that I do NOT know, never purchased a vehicle from- and YES my son was the salesman, as I had called him to find me THIS jeep.  My jeep was cleared through their second dealership, and I have the paperwork to prove it. This was  cleared with a WARRANTY and the paperwork is in the sales sliips, if you'd like for submission, I can have my attorney include it with my legal suit to be reimbursed for the almost $700 that I am out on a second ******** (and 2 small bills to look at it prior) with receipts.  I have sufficient proof according to DOT and their complaint submission, as well as the friend who was WITH me the day I dropped it off for my lift kit, and ball joints they "CLAIMED" was needing replaced.  This jeep ALSO passed legal inspection for tags, but it was accidently not put in my sales folder when mailing my title, due to their second location forgeting to hand it to them when picking the vehicle up to place in the dealership to sell to me.  I spoke to my son on the 28th day, when I needed tags. He explained I could drive to his dealership 2 hours away, and get my inspection slip and sticker.  I explained I would do it again here in town at *******, as it would cost more in gas money to drive to him for it, then it would to just have a second inspection.  I was in love with my jeep, as it drove like a brand new one. New tires, no slip, almost 6 k in Modifications (no ********al- only cosmetics), and have NINE people to attest, including the day it was released to them, as I was NOT alone, and have survelance from a business beside them to prove this.

Sadly after speaking with *** the owner on Monday, October 7th, I just "knew' *** would make this right, due to past experience with him, which is why I trusted them this time.  They had actually fixed my Jeep Cheroke's brakes for me, after ***** could figure it out.  This is LAUGHABLE that they are claiming this is the 2012 Wrangler I had previouisly called to fix brakes on, as I had purchased a Wrangler (2013), 2 door- to have the brakes looked at weeks before purchasing this Sahara JK 4 door.  I had returned that jeep to the owners, after realizing the brakes were the least of the problems- hence not needing ******* for that service (Didn't show). I too, have proof in the form of sales contract, reciept of payment on the prior jeep, as well as a notarized slip from the local Courthouse in **********, *** that I returned that jeep with EASE, and was given 100% refund.  That point, I traded my Cherokee to ******, as soon as my son found me one to HIS standards for his mom.  I am a widow of a suicide soldier, as well as BOTH sons being soldiers (retired after deployment, now married with kiids).  My son's tend to "take care" of their mother, as they know how women can be screwed. If THEY can prevent it, they WILL. Unfortunately, I didn't call them to tell them what ******* said and did until after I was out almost $1600 with ******* for TEARING up my jeep, as well as almost $700 to replace their s**** up with another shop, to only have it at 80%...so I still did not have a perfectly driving jeep after they touched it (*******, Farmington MO- *** owner/ **** the assistant manager, specifically being very rude and degrading my intellegence- refusing to belive they were the ones who did this- and had me in legit tears.

It was not UNTIL the ******** friend came in to the shop on Monday, October 7th at 5 pm, to explain to these unprofessional, rude, make me want to scream- employees and owner of *******. Specifically Nick- then ***.  He even felt that he was going to have to back up as he felt the employee stand to puff up against him. Crazy, as that ******** is pretty large, and refused physical altercations, unless protecting himself, and he WOULD have, TRUST THAT.  I would have actually paid the legal fees, had that happened.  Crazy though, because once *** drove my jeep with my ********, he states "WOW, I see what you mean!! It is hard to keep on road!!!" This is even AFTER I had begged to do right by me and fix their mess up, for almost TWO WEEKS, on a new jeep under warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's also AFTER Premier was able to fix it enough to be "driveable" without flipping and killing me!!!! I was then told, "You BETTER **** AND KEEP RECORD, AND WE WILL GIVE PROOF, AS WELL AS STAND IN COURT WITH YOU".  Can you IMAGINE what *** would have said to drive my jeep, had he driven it BEFORE I was out another almost $700 to other ********s to even get it half way safe??? He in NO WAY will ever lie about this situation, as 9 people drove the jeep BEFORE, and AFTER they touched this jeep. In fact, it was driven by my friend CiCi, the day before we dropped it at the shop, to do a Jeep benefit run for *********************** in ************, which my employee muscian ***** ***** *** and his wife ***, had scheduled a concert for.  The venue is willing to give a statement on that, as well as DAC, the bands boys, and wife *** ***.  I am more than happy to provide you their contact information, as they stated they will also tesitify to the condition of this jeep, as I had made it to 2 shows to work in it, but the last 2 I missed due to *******.  Fact is, IF I file suit for this $700 to the other ********, my attorney stated will go after: Lost compensation on a musicians promoting salary per show that I lost, as well as time to take it to 6 other ********s, the turmoil of having my intellegence insulted by laughing, attorney fees, as well as not stopping until the appropriate authorities are involved to investigate as I am "told" hearsay- there are several pending complaints, which is PUBLIC knowledge by the website *** gave me, for my complaint form, before they gave me a case investigative worker.  That will be their job to handle that end. My job is to provide all of the proof of this falsification at the mouths of *******.  In fact the day the ******** drove me my jeep on the THIRD try, he gives me the name of ***** ***** @ Glass Performance, to do my 3 inch lift, as
******* cannot be trusted, according to him".  He also said to let ****** know that ****** ******** sent me because his wife drives a jeep, and this one isn't driving ok, as he drove it to me. He stated he was NOT the ******** who worked on my jeep, so he coluldn't say what's wrong, but something was for sure.    I never contacted ******, as I did not trust a thing anyone from ******* had to say at that point.

Fast forward to today, 10/10/2024.  My jeep was looked at by *** the owner on 10/9/2024, and told it was fixed.  They never took accountability, but refused to fix it until a MAN got involved, and told them even he had driven that perfect jeep 3 x's in that month, and it was PERFECT.  The jeep indeed is driving PERFECT AGAIN, thanks to *** being scared enough of being sued, he fixed it!!! I thank *** for that, but not for my s******* without KY.  I am going for my money lost, for SURE. I will spend 10k, to get 3 k back... Have a great day!! No stopping me on using my MEDIA JOB (YES- can proove that too......) to warn consumers to never trust this company!

Prior complaints and statements made by the other 6 ********s i had to help try to fix this jeep, it is VERY REFLECTIVE of ******* making a habit of taking money by saying things are wrong with a vehicle, only for them to get a second opinion, and be told Mineke LIED. This is indeed not defimation of character, as this reflects in MANY reviews accorss the board. I know this because I do work in Meida :)

I will end this rejection letter with: I will spend every ounce of my resources in TIME, COMPENSATION OF 2 CONCERTS my contact stated I WAS REQUIRED BY CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT TO SHOW FOR! I promise, they cannot even afford one.  It's funny how we had to state i was "running short on money- so can't pay more" just to guilt or scare a business to do the right thing!!! I do believe 99% of these complaints made by women getting screwed because we don't know better....as I am one who it happened to directly at their hands.  I will stop at NOTHING to warn consumers of this fraudulant, morally disguisting, robbing business who also speaks to their customers as they are SCUM when complaining. Yes, I did lose my temper after THREE CHANCES for them to do right, and called **** a "F* *****, after he rudely laughed and wouldn't take me serious, saying 3 of his ********s drove it, and it's fine.. LOL....Funny 9 people prior, and 6 ********s behind them stated it was not ok- including *** when he drove it with my last ********.

Being an honest human, unlike them- I will NOT sue for my original $1400 (and some change) from them, as they fixed it in the end. But you bet your sweet bottom I am going after the above mentioned, as I wont stop til I do.  At best, I wont stop until every media outlet here is at LEAST warned, as well as the avenues for investigation was already submitted with the above mentioned- and that's their job to see the fraud according to Missouri Laws. In fact, he's already under that radar... LOL!!!

***: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR FIXING IT FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Although, crazy that you're playing the "good" guy card for fixing what your guys broke, and charged me the first time! Fact is, you didn't do C*** FOR FREE.  You fixed your eff **** However, I am just proud to get my jeep back to the condition is was prior to them touching it, as I owe over 16k for a jeep I drove one month and have had it one month and 9 days...all due to their hands.

I know they will read this and respond with another "b*tch is lying" claim, with all of their blabber lies about ****** systems" HA! This is a certified ** dealership that has a paper trail a mile long, and that's in my attornies hands. She stated they will receive a copy.  My attorney ******** actually gave me her bestfriends blessings to have THEM be my legal counsel as she doesn't have time- and apparently ***** ****** is an EXPERT on consumer fraud.  She will be serving the company within 14 days- she states.  You will also recieve her contact information for communications in regards to her office. I will not have to handle a thing.

Have a great day! feel free to email me any other issues. :)

    Sincerely,

Meineke replaced my brake pads some time ago I'm not sure of the date. They put the rotor side to the caliper and the caliper side to the rotor. This caused damage to my vehicle which I didn't become aware of until recently . I have a picture of the the brake pad that was removed and you can clearly see that it was scraping and it caused rust to ruin my struts, wheel cylinder and other damage. They put new pads on and changed out the rotors and told me it would be fine. Now I am having problems with the rear suspension and have been told thatt I need to replace the wheel cylinder because of the extensive rust caused by the caliper bein put on backwards. I have a picture showing the pads that they removed, I was unable to file a claim regarding this because of the passing of my wife which happened in 2019 which was around the time they did the damage to my vehicle. I have had financial trouble and they were trying to collect $2700 worth of charges on the credit card I used for repairs. On another occasion I had a Cadillac that after they put the water pump on the car the air conditioning didn't work. I had to sell the car because they would do nothing about it. They should wipe out the $2700 worth of bills that they turned over to a collection agency for this obvious damage to my vehicle.

I am sorry to learn of the passing of your wife.

I will address all the concerns raised in your complaint to the BBB.  We installed rear brake pads on your 2013 Ford Escape on 12/15/2018.  You raise a concern about the improper brake pad installation, causing collateral damage to the wheel cylinders and struts.  It is impossible, as your 2013 Escape does not have wheel cylinders or rear struts.  You state that the struts are damaged by rust from the brake pad; again you have no struts on the rear of your vehicle.  You raise the question of debt collection.  No debt is owed to us, and we have not sought any collections.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  I'm not a mechanic, so I used the wrong name for the parts involved -the vehicle has rear shocks and springs those are what have been damage in addition to the rear wheel bearing and assembly.  You clearly damaged my vehicle by putting the brake pads on backwards, thankfully I was not in an accident due to your faulty work.  If estimates are needed I will be happy to provide them.
