The customer originally emailed us saying
I just received a package from you because I won a few cards at a recent auction. The box was empty, though. It looked like it had been opened and then taped back shut.  It's invoice #*****. Please advise.
            Thank You - - ***** ********

Everything we sell includes insurance. As soon as I mentioned that I would file a claim with the post office, he started being rude and accusing us of sending an empty package.

As you can see in picture 2, the box has tape over the label in the middle of the box. We put a shipping label there to make sure that the package has not been tampered with. We do not tape over the label just because the post office has issues reading labels if there's tape over the scanned part. I told him I would wait to see what insurance does, but he continued to accuse us of shipping an empty box. The box weighed 3 oz. and during the shipping process it goes through 3 different people. We would have noticed that the box was empty when shipping it. I was more than willing to work with him,but he just kept accusing us of shipping an empty box even though I told him I would make sure he was taken care of if insurance doesn't pay out.

For him to accuse us multiple times in several emails after I told him I would make it right once we figured out if insurance pays out just seems odd.

            Complaint: 22416434

I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because: this business has NEVER contacted me regarding the fact that "he will make it right" after the claim was filed with **** despite multiple attempts to contact them requesting a response. I received an empty box from the company. Upon contacting them, they said it wasn't empty when they sent it and asked me to bring the box to the post office so they could file a claim. When I dropped it off at the post office, they indicated that they did not see any evidence that the box was opened/damaged in transit, but we went ahead in filing the claim. At this point, I have not heard anything about the results of the insurance claim I'm assuming the results were sent to them. If they don't have the results, yet, then I'm wondering why they never responded to tell me that. I made a statement to the business that if they're insisting that the package was not empty and if the post office rejects the claim, then that tells me that they are concluding that I am lying about receiving an empty box. What message did they want to send me regarding their business?

            Sincerely,

            ***** ********

We have refunded the invoice in full including shipping for $43.75.
It should show up as two transactions since we ran the card once for the items and a second time for shipping.
When you originally stated in the first email that the package looked like it was tampered with, and tape was over the label that shows us that someone did tamper with it. You may have received it empty, but we do not have the items here and wouldnt have shipped an empty box.
            Sorry for the confusion.
