    The shelter leaks through the vents. It does not sit solid on the concrete pad. I can stick my fingers under the wall between the wall and slab. Water rolls in there. Bugs are coming in to the shelter through there. I called the man in charge to ask him to come examine it, thinking he would come check it out. Instead he told me that every shelter leaks and he would not come examine it. He talked down to me like I didn't know what I was talking about. Since I had a home destroyed in the Joplin tornado, I know what a tornado can do, and if there is that much open space under the shelter, the tornado will not protect me plus we got wet sitting in it waiting on the storm to pass. He has terrible customer service unless he is trying to sell you a shelter. I think the shelter has a design flaw or was not installed properly, but since he won't come examine it, how would he know.

    We apologize for the negative interactions the customer has had with our employee and will do what we can do resolve the issues in the best way possible.  I will contact the customer again to personally visit and inspect their shelter for any flaws in the manufacturing or installation of the unit.  Afterward, we will communicate with the customer and attempt to come to a proper resolution of their complaints about the product.  We want every customer to be confident in their shelter and to have the peace of mind that it provides.  Thank you

    I was visited by representatives of the company who examined the tornado shelter and the problems with it.  They say they will come after the first of the year to attempt to repair the problems with it.  Right now I am taking them at their word.  If they do not carry through, I will contact BBB again.
