    The long Vet clinic has been amazing with all three of my dogs. All the staff are friendly especially Dr. Leighr. Even when he is extremely busy he takes the time to sit down and explain the treatment plan and gives options. They are very accommodating with appointments and allow early morning drop offs. My daughter is 10 and has said she wants to be a Vet when she grows up since she was 3. Dr. Leighr is also great with her explaining what is going on with her dogs. The Dr is probably most patient with me as I treat humans and these three dogs are the first pets I’ve had in my life. I am APRN and you can’t please everyone, some people just come into the clinic ready to argue and complain about every aspect of their appointment. As far as the other 1 star review maybe this person should take some responsibility in the post op care. What was done at home that could have caused the infection. My Boston terrier had the same procedure last fall and didn’t get antibiotics and did beautiful. The thing I love the most about this clinic they do not just try to run up the bill. Prior to coming to long vet clinic we used another vet in town and dropped off my husbands bird dog who has since passed because she was loosing weight and not eating. It was during Covid so we couldn’t go in and instead of calling and telling us what they were going to do, they ran all kinds of labs and X-rays that were all negative and had 450.00 bill and no answers.

    Absolute one of the best vets I've been to. Dr. Leighr has always been great with all of my animals and then takes the time to educate me about them. All the staff have been super sweet and considerate. They deserve best of northland. I will continue to use all of their facilities!

    I wish I could give 0 stars. We had our mini schnauzer spayed and I wish I would've spent more money going elsewhere. At first, I was told that I only needed to show her rabies tag. Then, when we arrived for the appt we were told that we needed the actual paper to show she had it. It would've been nice to know that, so we could've already had it sent to them. I called to check in on her and the receptionist didn't give me any updates on her. We stopped in around 4 and was told she's awake and they needed to get the charges ready. That it would be longer than 10 minutes. We decided to come home. Seriously, right as soon as we get home I get a phone call. I went to pick her up and the receptionist shoves the cone into her eyes without caring. Now , we had to take her to another vet and she had to have a round of antibiotics and they were surprised they didn't give her any pain medicine. I am very upset of how my baby was treated.

    Shawna B****'s Miniature Schnauzer was presented to our hospital for routine ovariohysterectomy on 9/13/23 at 7:45 a.m. The ovariohysterectomy was performed that morning uneventfully. Bella recovered from surgery uneventfully. Her discharge notes were entered at 3:53 p.m. and she was discharged at 4:33 p.m. Bella did receive Buprenorphine pain medication as an injection post operatively. An Elizabethan Collar was placed over Bella's head at the time of discharge by one of the receptionists. Bella may have moved but this was not performed forcibly or maliciously. Every interaction with the client from drop off, phone conversation (s) and pick up was negative and confrontational. We are not the hospital for Shawna B****'s family. I do take offense with her statement insinuating she could have spent more and got more elsewhere. Long Veterinary Clinic has been in business for nearly 50 years. We keep our prices low, not because of poor service, lack of experience, lack of technology or lack of facilities, but because 80% of our clientele are hardworking blue collar people whom need some financial consideration.

    My pup had an infection, so we had to take her to another vet. I would like my money back. I called and asked for a refund and I was given an excuse that the manager wasn't there. I was shown that my pup isn't important to you which breaks my heart. She is my everything.
