I sought services from *** ***** of Northland Colonics in Kearney, MO on June 22, 2021. At that time, she offered me a package deal of 10 sessions for $550, paid for that day via *****. I used 2 sessions. On Oct 5, I informed Ms. ***** of my relocation out of state and that I wouldn’t be able to use the rest of the package. She informed me she would no longer recognize the “package price” of my visits ($55 per visit with the package, as opposed to her $65 per visit, a la cart price). A la cart price was $130, and from the package price I paid of $550, meant I was due $420, which she agreed to pay, but stated that due to a recent $15k purchase, she wasn’t able to do it all at once, and offered to send a little at a time. She asked me to send a payment request through ***** for the amount she owed, which I did, and she declined it on October 9, stating that she would send it when she transferred money to her ***** account (she uses ***** for most client payments, so this shouldn’t have been an issue.) On October 10, she asked for my mailing address and said she was going to send checks instead, stating that she couldn’t access her ***** account (***** is a social network - I can see she’s used ***** numerous times since this message). In any case, I agreed and sent my mailing address on October 11. By December 11, I had received nothing from Ms. *****. No check; no message. So I reached out again. My March 6, still nothing, so I sent another message. She sent me a picture of an envelope addressed to me and said it had a check in it and she was sending it tomorrow, but informed me she wasn’t required to reimburse me because I am not a bill collector and stated she told me packages where non-refundable (she didn’t, and even her posts on her website don’t say that). She stated it’s not her fault I moved and she doesn’t have to reimburse me. I have received no more communication or repayment from Ms. ***** since, and she still owes me $320.

    Business response

    10/12/2022

I am in receipt of complaint you received from ***** **** regarding her refund for a Colonics Visit
    Package.
As you are probably aware, numerous service companies offer packages of services at a reduced price
to save the consumer money and aid in business cash flow. In almost all cases, these packages are
non-refundable, but I agreed to refund part of her money based on the full price of services already
used. (My mistake) She paid $550.00 for 10 visits. The actual price is $65.00 per session. I agreed to
refund her $420.00 and explained that I would have to make payments based on when I had extra
income and I have kept my word in this regard.
It has been very difficult to build back my business due to COVID and issues related to COVID and I
have spent the past year struggling to keep “my head above water” and she kept wanting me to commit
to a payment plan. There is no way to predict what it going to happen tomorrow and I am a “woman
of my word”. No way I could promise to pay on a certain date when I didn’t know if I would have
    funds available.
I have never stated or indicated that I would not pay her and I intend to do so. She is just going to have
to patient and I will get the balance of $220.00 taken care of as soon as I possibly can.
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter. Should you have any questions, please feel
    free to contact me.

    Kindest regards,

    *** *****
    Northland Colonics
