visited this dealership based on a friends recommendation, intending to buy a vehicle if I received good service. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the owner himself, which initially gave me confidence in the experience. Everything was going smoothly until I filled out the credit application. Just as I was about to close the deal, they informed me that they couldnt offer the extended warranty because the car would supposedly be used for commercial purposes.I clarified that the vehicle was for my wife and would be for personal use only, with personal insurance, not commercial. However, they refused to believe me simply because I listed a commercial source of income on the application. Even after I explained that Im a landlord and the car would be for personal use, they still declined to offer the warranty.Their refusal to accommodate this simple clarification made me feel mistrusted and misled. In the end, they were more concerned with finding excuses to deny me the warranty than with providing good customer service. I cant recommend this dealership to anyonenot even to my closest friends. Theyre not trustworthy and seem more interested in avoiding responsibility than in helping their customers. Save yourself the trouble and stay away.BMW of West St. Louis Response

Thank you for your feedback. Im sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction regarding the eligibility for our lifetime powertrain program. As mentioned during our conversation before any documents were signed, vehicles used for commercial purposes, such as Turo rentals, do not qualify for this coverage.A screenshot of your message indicating your intention to post the vehicle on Turo, was shared with us. Unfortunately, we could not fully discuss how the coverage works as the call was disconnected. I understand this may be frustrating, and Im here to help clarify any questions you may have about our policies. Please feel free to reach out directly so we can better assist you. *****, Business manager BMW of West St. LouisReview from Daniel A

I bought a used *** and had 2 disappointing serv. experiences.First, took the car in for a "Service Engine Soon" (***) light. The Tech Writer (**) seemed confused; at first she offered me an oil change and brake fluid change. I said I didn't need an oil change - only ***** miles since the last one. I said again the *** light was on, and she said "oh, it's the check engine light", & that's what she put on the ticket. I assumed they would figure it out. 2 days later, they had changed two parts, & charged me $1633. After a few miles, the *** light came on again. Quick research on ******* pointed to the issue. - due for an oil change, & brake fluid change. You can go into the *** screen and find easily this info. & reset. I called and spoke to a ** who tried to help, & offered free oil and brake fluid change & reset the *** light, but no credit. I asked why they changed 2 parts for $1,633. He said the *** said they needed to. Simple question: If not for the *** light indicating the oil & brake flush, and bringing it to the dealer, what would alert me these other parts needed to be changed? "a red triangular warning light in the dash cluster would come on". Exactly, but it was never on, only the *** light. Game over at this point, the ** said the mgr. would call me next day. That was 3 days ago. I just want a $1,633 credit, and pay for the oil & brake flush. I was also e-mailed a check list that said the oil and brake fluid were OK. They also said the wipers were fine, though one was missing. Doesn't seem like they checked anything, just boxes. The 2nd item is a key fob I purchased because it only came with 1. The replacement fob doesn't communicate completely with the vehicle, so it will only open the doors with a press of the buttons, and only start the car with the fob in the ignition. This gang can't shoot straight. At this moment, I'm out $1,600, and waiting for a call. It's too bad. I wanted to start shopping for a *** for my wife, but will look elsewhere.BMW of West St. Louis Response

The "Service Engine ***** or (SES) light is a malfunction warning that indicates a fault or error code has been reported in the vehicle's on board diagnostic system. This is not an indication of maintenance or service being due, ***** have a separate notification system for that. It appears based on your comments and review of the vehicle information that both the "Service Engine ***** * ************ Due" indicators were on at the time of the service visit on April 17th. We performed diagnostics on the "Service Engine ***** and discovered 2 issues and performed repairs as needed. The vehicle was showing due for a brake fluid * oil change and you did not wish to have those services performed at that time, that indicator should still be on.If the "Service Engine ***** has come back on then it would appear there are still fault codes in the vehicles on board diagnostic system and further diagnostics would be required to determine the cause of that malfunction indicator lamp. If this is the case I would be happy to arrange a time to get the vehicle in and perform a diagnostic at no additional charge. With regard to the key you have purchased, on your vehicle the keys come to us programmed to start the vehicle and once the vehicle is started with the new key the lock * unlock buttons on the key will sync and begin to allow the buttons to lock and unlock the vehicle. The keyless remote operation unfortunately will not function unless it is activated via our diagnostic system and will require a trip into the shop . This should have been explained when you purchased the key and I do apologize. We would need to arrange a time to have this done as well and could certainly be taken care of when/if the vehicle comes in to address your concerns above. It sounds to me like this was a communication issue and we can resolve this amicably. I look forward to further discussing this, my contact information is below.*********************** ManagerBMW of West St. Louis636-227-5454 ext **************************************Review from A. M.

There is a 2016 evoque currently for sale. I went to purchase the vehicle and ask about the lifetime power train warranty clearly mentioned in two different places on the vehicle description. The manager refused to honor the online ad from their website. Its definitely false advertisement to get people in the store, I refused to buy the vehicle. They need to take down ads offering warranty immediately.BMW of West St. Louis Response

*********** st louis does not offer a Lifetime powertrain warranty on any of our vehicles. We do provide a lifetime powertrain loyalty program on most used vehicles and we would be glad to provide all of the vehicles that qualify. Unfortunately, this one did not qualify. While we try our best to have all accurate information on our website, sometimes there is a technical glitch that occurs using 3rd party vendors, this has been fixed. I'm glad we were able to get you the correct information, if you are still interested I would be happy to try to make it up to you. We are not in the business to give wrong information and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Yes I see its been fixed but that doesnt get the hard inquiry off my credit because I came prepared to buy based on the ad being wrong in two different spots. An employee should be responsible for the ads before they are posted to the website or the dealer should stand by itBMW of West St. Louis Response

We would be more than happy to write a letter stating credit was pulled in error. You can send that letter to the bureaus and challenge the inquiry to have it removed. We would do it for you, but they do not allow us to change your credit report.*********************,Sales Director ******************BMW of West St. Louis Response
