    On June 27th I placed an order for a 2 oz Wild Lettuce tincture ($20) and a 1 oz Ghost Pipe tincture ($23). With shipping ($6.40) my order total came to $49.40. My order number was ******** The items shipped and arrived quickly. The tinctures were supposed to have pain relieving, relaxing/sedative effects. I took them as directed and felt nothing, even when taking the maximum recommended dose. I reached out to the company to find out how to be refunded, and they said they only refund if the products are untested and still sealed. I just want my money back.

    Customer requested a refund for products that were opened and determined that she did not think they "worked" and were not "effective".  Our policy for returns or refunds due to reasons of effectiveness was provided to the customer upon inquiry and is clearly posted on the Ordering Information page of our website at ******************************************************

    "Returns or refunds will not be considered for reason of effectiveness. Due to numerous variables of individual health and/or drug and vitamin interactions that may nullify the effects of a plant tincture, the objective evaluation of whether a product “is working” is not always certain. Beneficial Botanicals recommends that you work with a healthcare professional such as a naturopath to determine if a plant tincture will be helpful for you."

    Paid $33.90 Postal service did not leave notice that there was an attempt to deliver as I was clearly home on this day. Postal service said the item was returned to sender. Business refuses to refund my purchase saying they can resend at my expense for shipping which I already paid to have it delivered with purchase. I tried several times to communicate with them to refund me and they basically "ghosted" me. See attached email exchange.

    The customer was informed in response to first contact that the tracking number showed her package was at the local post office being held for 15 days to be picked up. The carrier attempted to deliver the package, but the receptacle was a letter box at an apartment complex that was not big enough to hold a package. 

    The customer did not want to pick up the package at the post office and due to lack of action, the post office tagged the package as refused.

    The customer purchased the order on our website where the following information is posted under "ordering information".  Our policy there is clearly stated as follows:

    REFUSING A PACKAGE
    Please be aware that if you refuse a shipped package containing an order which you have placed, compensation for the returned items will not be given.

    UNCLAIMED OR UNDELIVERABLE PACKAGES
    Please be aware that if you do not have a mail receptacle that is large enough for a package and USPS is unable to leave the package at your door, they will retain the package for 15 days to be claimed. We cannot be responsible for unclaimed or undeliverable packages and you will not be able to receive a refund. If you wish to have us resend your order, you will be invoiced in advance to pay the shipping charges needed to reship a package.

    The customer was also informed that if the package was returned to us and she wanted us to re-ship, she would need to pay the shipping charges to resend the order. She expressly declined and demanded a refund for the total order including original shipping costs. The company policy was given to her, and again an offer to resend the order with a paid PayPal invoice for new shipping charges could be processed. She has declined this offer.
