I adopted a cat from the humane society, a week prior to adopting him I went to look at all the animals and as we were walking thru all the cat rooms we were told all animals were vaccinated de wormed and spayed/neutered. Most of their cats looked like they had eye issues but was reassured they had no issues. I fell in love with One and as soon as he turned their was a giant worm hanging out of his butt it was very much alive and very big, staff seemed shocked but didn’t seem to care. I left and called a week later I wanted to adopt the cat I fell for while my visit, when I got there both eyes were full of puss, I was told there wasn’t a lot of air circulation at night and that’s why most of their cats looked like this, I paid 85$ to adopt him and got him into the vet a few days later when they had an opening. He wasn’t dewormed after I pointed out the worm I saw the week prior, he had such a bad infection and the vet assured me this was very contagious with cats it was a type of herpes virus and it cost me almost 200$ to get medicine for this, while at the vet also found out he wasn’t given all the vaccinations he was suppose to have been given before adoption. Your not allowed to walk back and see the dogs anymore you have to look in a book and pick from there. This humane society needs to be looked into as their animals are not cared for as they should be!
