    Purchased 2 packs of turkey wings on Nov. 24 for Thanksgiving. Upon pulling them out. I started to smell something in my house but could not figure out what it was. Once i grabbed the large pack i smelled the smell and proceeded to open it. It was a foul smell. I open the second one and could not tell if it smelled also but opted to not use it. I put the items in the freezer as it was the holiday. I took them back to Petes on 12/6 as that was the first time i had to get there. The meat department had no workers but the others could smell the smell from the frozen meat and took it to the manager who then called the owner. after explaining what was wrong. The owner refused to provide a store credit or refund saying he wasn't refunding any items purchased prior to thanksgiving. He has lots of turkey wings and nobody else complained. I can't you if it was the meat, old blood on the package. But what ever it was I could not use those items. ****** has had many issues in the past with spoiled meats. While I understand things happen not at the cost of me not having what I paid for. The rude dismissive service I received from the owner is terrible. There are a lot of elderly etc that shop there. This is their norm i heard from someone in the store to push back when they are the issue. I want a refund or store credit.

    The turkey wings were purchased on 11/24, but were not returned until 12/06. The customer never called to report an issue with the wings. 13 days after her purchase, she brought the wings back in a thawed state as reported by my manager. The manager said the wings were definitely spoiled and looked like they would look after 13 days in the refrigerator. I don't have control on how the meat is handled after it is sold. Did she forget about it in her refrigerator? Why didn't she call immediately when she thought the meat was spoiled? Did she purchase more wings after she found these were bad? Why weren't they brought back at that time? I have a 7 day return policy on meat with freshness issues. I also checked on Schnucks return policy on fresh meat. They have a 7 day return policy on meat that has freshness issues. 

    I am sorry ****** experienced a problem with the turkey wings. But, I don't feel we were at fault here.

    Three times I have been in the store to pick up an item that is one sale in their advertisement, but they were not selling it for that price. They told me it was a misprint in the advertisement. They did not honor the price in the ad.  When I make a trip to get something on sale in the advertisement, I expect to get it for that price. I don't want to hear that price is wrong in the ad. The staff is not friendly when I point out the issue. I went to purchase 750 ********************* VS Cognac on sale for $16.99 late last year, and when I got there it was $32.99. They would only sell it to me for $32.99, so I did not purchase it. I would not have gone to the store if it was not in the ad.

    Unfortunately, printing mistakes do occur. The ad does state that we have the right correct printing errors. But, I do understand your frustration. I will gladly sell you a bottle of the ******** at the advertised price of $16.99.

    I went to Pete's supermarket on 9/2/23 and I purchased a money order for $250. My landlord never received it. I went back to let the supermarket know the money must be lost. I was given a form called Money Order Claim Card by Money Gram. I was instructed to send off the form and to include a $15 money order with it. I received it back so I called Money Gram and was told I shouldn't have filled out the form, and that it hasn't been used in 10 years. They said I should've did it online. I called and spoke to the owner of the supermarket about it. He was rude to me, said he didn't know what I was talking about and hung up on me. I called back and told the lady at the supermarket that I was going to pursue it with BBB and she hung up on me. They must've been told not to talk with me. I did everything the lady in the store told me to do. I filled out the form she gave me. When I called Money Gram they said the money order has not been cashed out and I need to contact the business who gave me the form to received the $15 refund. This experience really bothered me. I met their dad when I was 8 years old, and I'm now in my 70's. Their dad would've never spoken to me the way the current owner did.
