Terminated employment with this business owner after the negligent damage she did to our personal property (pictures taken), the continuous harassment and attempts at extortion that she tried to use to prevent us from speaking about her unprofessionalism and non-existent work ethic by requesting us to sign an NDA to keep us silenced (screenshots obtained for evidence). She decided to cross a line when she felt it necessary to harass my girlfriend by threatening to tarnish her employment/career for pursuing our right to legal action (blackmail and coercion - textual receipts in hand) She has since proceeded to continue with unwarranted contact and threaten/harass us, as well as trying to drag our children into the situation and using them as a scapegoat for her failures (paint on the floor when the kids were in school at the time...nice try, paint on the couch due to it not being covered...we did so with sheets after this first of many missteps on her part, paint on the blinds and on an antique piano). She has also made false written statements to a third party thats open to the public eye (defamation - libel) in regards to us and our use of medically legal cannabis obtained with a state issued medical card (...so very dense), trying to twist and contort it to make us out to be illegal drug users in front of our children. We will be pursuing legal action against this business and the owner.

We have had several contacts with the police & they have been over to these clients homes. The reason we couldn't cover the ceiling is because they had admitted to smoking drugs after we couldn't cover the ceiling with two coats. They do not respond to the police multiple attempts by police. But they have been told what they are doing is illegal. They are releasing personal information against us which releases our current place of residence and such. We ask that this be removed. As we have tons of evidence and police involvement w them. The other one was removed by the significant other because it's illegal and untrue. They openly admitted about their visits 2 their children running through the house and they openly admitted about the smoke damage they caused. We ask that this be removed.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Nothing that she said is true or of merit. The lady is unhinged. The authorities have not once shown up, nor are we doing anything illegal. We smoke cannabis, which is legal. She did not finish the job so two coats were never applied. We fired her after the damage she caused to our property. Then came the extortion attempts with giving half a refund only if we sign an NDA. The.n the threats against my girlfriend came as well as her defamation of our children. We are currently in the process of filing paperwork to handle this in court plus we have also contacted the ******** ******* ** ******** regarding her conduct as a business. They have formally sent a request to respond to the allegations. We want the review to stay so that no one else gets taken by this individual. We will be handling the matter of damages in court.

    Sincerely,

***** came out to my home on 09May to provide an estimate to paint my living room, foyer, and hallway, including the ceiling. During the consultation, she confirmed that she was available the following Tuesday, 16May, and the job would take less than a day. She also provided me with an estimate to paint my office and kitchen cabinets. We agreed via text on 13May that she would arrive on 16May to paint the living room, foyer, and hallway and the other areas would be saved for later in the fall. On Monday 15May, she texted me and asked if we could move it to Wednesday 17May due to personal issues, but I told her that I had already blocked off my schedule and could not move the project. She confirmed she would arrive at 12pm on 16May. She arrived close to 3pm on 16May and did not complete the job in one day as promised. Before leaving for the evening, she confirmed she would return the next day at 9am to complete the job no later than 2pm. Before she left, I paid her half of the total cost ($950) via Venmo. But she did not arrive until almost 11am and shortly after complained of feeling ill and left early, promising again to come back the next day and complete the job. After she left on the second day, I did a walkthrough of my home and saw all of the damage she caused. There is paint all over my hardwood floors, on my antique piano, on my custom fabric blinds, on my $5000 couch, on my front door, and elsewhere. There is also extensive damage to one of my walls that she claims was already there, but I have photos to prove otherwise. When I reached out to her to ask for a refund, she refused and said she would have her company attorney write up a NDA for me to sign. I asked for her attorney's information and her response was, "Just remember you have a job and career to ruin anyways. So if that's the road you want to take we can do that."

We offered this lady half the money back. And signing of paperwork to reach an agreement. She refused. She also did not tell us that she smoked drugs and that her ceilings wasn't covering because of that until we had put two coats. She also told us her kids had ran through the house after we left and nearly got cut by her husband's knife. That's when the paint issues came up. We told her not to let the kids run through the house with wet walls and she ignored it. She also said that we were goinf to pay out of pocket for the oil primer because we told her we could paint the ceilings. I told her that was before you admitted to having smoke damage due to your own drug use. That makes the ceilings impossible to cover with regular paint. After a couple days working there I became sick. The whole house smelled like Marijuana and a slight meth smell at which I got sick and left. We have tried to be reasonable with her and she has insisted on stalking us and our clients. I've had to call the police on her twice just today.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

Business owner offered half of the money back in exchange for signing a nondisclosure agreement and not posting negative reviews about my experience. I rejected this offer because after the damage she caused in my home and her breach of our contract, I feel that I should receive a full refund because I will now need to go find an actual professional to complete the job and also repair the damage she caused. Her expectation that I will sign a NDA and not speak of her negligence is asinine. She does not even carry liability insurance.

I am not complaining about the ceiling not being covered, however, business owner did not use the Behr ceiling paint she stated she would use that would have abetter chance of covering it in one coat. The ceilings are not damaged from smoke and I never made any such admission.

    *** ** ******** ******* ***** ******* **** *** **** *** ** *** ********** *************, which I found after briefly searching the internet. She attempted to defame me online and made claims that I ******* ******* ***** around my children, which is a baseless lie that she has no evidence to support. This woman is unhinged and should not be representing herself as a legitimate business. She is ******* **** * ******* ******* and is awaiting her bench trial for that charge in September 2023. *** *********** *** *** *** – **** ************ ** ********* *** ********.

She claims that she became sick from my home due to it smelling like “********* *** ****”, but she told me that she had covid. She also spoke of ****** ***** *** **** ***** ********” that her daughter had switched on her, causing her to be tired, yet I believe she has ******** and was on ******* ***** herself while working in my home.

I am unhappy with the quality of work and how the owner decided to make this a personal issue and threaten me and my livelihood when I simply asked for a refund of my money for a job she did not complete per our agreement and for causing possibly irreparable damage to my property (she got paint on my 70 year old piano). I am attaching all of our communication (which she has left out) which shows her threats.

And now she is making threats to contact my ex-husband and my partner’s ex-wife to further slander us for no reason. She is causing extreme emotional distress.

    Sincerely,
    ******** ********
