    I had my hair braided with the intent that my hair would stay neat and tight until my mom’s wedding at the end of the week of 7/18-7/22/2022…the night only a couple hours after leaving the salon my daughter noticed that my braids were coming loose in the back on one side of my head and that the bun that **** had done was not tight and my braids were coming apart when she was getting ready to wrap my silk scarf around my head…I told her that it will hold up until the wedding on Friday; at least I thought it would! It did not the next two days my braids were looking messy and loose even more…I decided that I would take them down Thursday and wear my natural hair to the wedding if I cannot get them dove again in time for the wedding and on top of that I did not have the money to redo or get my hair done, because I paid for my mom’s wedding and was broke and had been broke for weeks…putting all my money into the wedding and all o wanted was to not have to worry about my own hair and have it done nicely for my mom’s wedding. I decided to reach out to Ms **** about my hair and she act as if I was lying about my braids! I told her that I would not lie about my hair or lie to get my money back! I just felt as if my braids were not done right from the start! Braids do not get loose or look messy in less than a day, 2,3,or a week! My braids were done for the moment she finished my hair and as a stylist she should have known that she did not do my braids as tight, accurate or neatly as she should have! I want my $90 back!

    I spoke to the stylist for this customer.  It is standard procedure to have the customer check their hair as the stylist is working.  Also standard in our industry is that if someone isn't satisfied, that they let us know within 24 hours.  This customer waited 6 days before calling.  If she had called and let us know we would have been happy to refund her money or redo her hair.

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I did call and she did not answer and when I told her that my hair was loose she stated that “my hair was loose in the bun not the braids”... I told her, No my braids are loose and there is a piece of my hair coming out if the braid and when she denied it! I had to take my bun down and the braids down just so that my hair would look decent for my Moms wedding…which was not my intention since I paid her $90 to do my hair for this occasion alone! I normally do not get my hair done, so yes I was very disappointed and frustrated that I could not keep my braids in for more than a day! I just recently got my hair braided and it has been over a week and my braids are intact and look as if I just got them done! She did not do a good job and she need to just confess to it! I am filing this complaint, because she did a horrible job with my braids and I was force yo wear an Afro to my Moms wedding and lose $90 in the process! A woman’s hair is her crown and I and any other woman that takes pride in their appearance would be upset and asking for a refund when our crown is not on right or to our liking! The owner of the shop called and left me a nasty message on my phone last week and I am afraid that he is reacting in a unprofessional manner and not considering my stance on this matter! He is her father and he was not there or in town the day that I was there the day I got my hair done! How can he speak on anything or call my phone and leave me such a cruel message! That is grounds for me getting my refund and a restraining order on them! She did not give me a proper service…she did a horrible job on my hair …now they want to threaten me! My mistake was not going back to get my hair done over, but why would I if she did a horrible job from the beginning! Why would I drive the 45 minute ride back out to her to get my hair redone when I was busy that whole week getting things in order for my Mom’s wedding because, I was her planner and organizer…my hair was the last thing that I should have been or had the time to worry about! I had to take down my hair braids w, which was easy since they were loose and messy! Everybody knows that braids should not be in that manner only a day after getting them done!

    Want I submitted is exactly what happened and for her dad to call my phone after you guys reached out to them was a threat against my livelihood and I am constantly getting hang up calls and wondering if it safe to go about my regular day….My braids are not done correctly and I want my money back! What other clarification do you need … my daughter can testify that my braids were loose and coming apart tge next day after she did my hair…not my fault or doing that this happened. She should have offered to redo my hair or return me my $90 from the moment I told her that and left her messages about my hair!
