    This complaint is for the "Little Sunshine's Playhouse and Preschool of *************" located at ***************************************They had a big opening ceremony in January 2024 and encouraged everyone to enroll. The day they opened they were already full and we were put on the waitlist. Since then we have been on waitlist for nearly 9 months now. Our desired start date has already been passed. They encourage you to be on waitlist by making you pay $350 as a deposit. Until you make this payment and get in the waitlist they would constantly call you and once you are on their waitlist the calls would stop. They would encourage for waitlist and make it sound like we would have opening by your desired date. After that when the desired date is approaching they would take support of their policy that the money is non refundable. If they can just accommodate say 15 kids, then why they are asking 150 parents to be on waitlist. (numbers are just for reference as we have heard the same story from several parents and their ****** reviews also lists a few comments like that). This is a pure scam. My daughter was offered a spot and later they denied saying we do not recall offering her a spot. We literally told them the entire conversation about spot confirmation, but they simply denied. We felt a bit of favoritism here too. The spot offering does not seem fair according to us. We simply want our money back and don't want to enroll our daughter or any other kid in future.

    The company reached out to us directly and have agreed to give us the refund of $350. We accept it as the resolution and would like to close this complaint. Thank you for your help.

    Our son attends Little Sunshine's Playhouse and is in the pre-k class. He will be leaving in the fall (August) to start kindergarten at the local elementary school. Little Sunshine charged us a one time $125 re-enrollment fee however we have not re-enrolled because our son will be going to elementary school. We assumed this was an error and contacted the school and was advised this fee is standard even if we are not actually re-enrolling. Why are we being charged a re-enrollment fee when we are not re-enrolling. We couldn't re-enroll if we wanted to because they are a daycare and do not have a kindergarten class. So any new children who are enrolling for the fall will pay the enrollment fee but I also have to pay it even thought we will not be enrolled. That does not make sence and is a way to rip us off.

    We had multiple issues with LSP starting with our child was never moved to his correct age group class because they had staffing issues and couldn't meet state requirements, and as a result my child regressed in his speech and behavior. I tried another school out and saw my child flourished within days after being removed from LSP. He was in Toddler 1 at LSP and placed in Toddler 3 at his new school. When I notified LSP of my issues for reasons to withdraw, they threw the 30-day policy at me and took our money for no service to be provided when I decided to keep my child in the new school because LSP couldn't fulfill their service or state requirements properly. They said I could bring my child back anytime within those 30 days, which was illogical because he would have to be in the wrong class. At LSP, the teachers let the children run wild without shoes on and yogurt all over the place. My child was sick every week and our weekends were ruined because he was sick. At the new school, he is taught to wash his hands and he has yet to get sick since he left LSP. At LSP, my child clung to me every morning at drop-off but at his new school he walks in with his lunch-bag willingly. I just don't want to be charged for an entire month that my child is not in their care because they couldn't uphold their own standards. In my case, the 30-day policy is now obviously just a cash grab, just trying to milk me for another month of tuition by placing my child in the wrong class or, in this case, no service whatsoever.
