I gave cody *********************** a thousand dollars last march he told me reassured me that he always put his customers first I thought he would always keep in contact every two weeks he would give me an update even if there wasn't an update. I am very disappointed in the way he does business. He has not contacted me. He wants on his own. I've had to contact him everyday for a week. Straight until I finally get mad. Enough to it to let it out, and then hopefully he responds to me, as a lawyer and the things that he done and went about, it's a bunch of bs to me. He should have known better. They forever get in this case, which was a simple, easy peasy, **** job. So in my opinion, he don't even deserve the first star. I would not hire him for nothing ever ever in my life again. The story is the same here. **** was eager to charge $1,500. He never filed paperwork to the court and never heard from him after repeated attempts to make contact with him. He is a thief and should be disbarred from practicing law.Review from Lynette M

Really disappointed in the service I was provided by ****. He was friendly and able to be available quickly to complete the signing of my divorce papers. Unfortunately that's where the good service ends. Papers were signed in his office at the end of January with him telling me a possible 2-3 months for the divorce to be finalized. I check back in with him on April 4th to get an update since I do not show my divorce case on the Missouri courts website. After days of no reply or update he finally tells me the court date is set for 5/03. I check back and my case is now showing on the courts website but it shows as not being filed until April 5th!!! No update on the docket either so it leads me to think I'm also being mislead about the court date. With no response from **** via text or phone I'm frustrated by spending my hard earned money for this very lacking serviceReview from Davene M

**** Smith was not professional and did not return any of my money back to me after I fired him. He would not return my calls or text messages. In addition, he shared private information with my soon to be ex-husbands attorney that my sister and I shared with him in confidence. My soon to be ex-husbands attorney sent an email to him from her regarding this private conversation between my attorney and I that my soon to be ex-husband read and sent to me. In addition, he tried to get me to sign a settlement agreement that was not in the best interest of me and potentially could have put me on the street until our 2.75 million dollar home was sold. He did not keep me informed and did not want to take the time to fight for me and do what was in the best interest for me. He is inexperienced and should not have taken my case because it was out of his jurisdiction.I HIGHLY caution anyone considering hiring **** Smith as an attorney. Its better to spend the extra money to hire an experienced attorney that will fight for you and do whats in your best interest for your futureReview from Hong N

Very unprofessional. Does not file on time. Will not return texts or calls. We had to pretend to be a new client in order for him to call us back on a different phone. He takes advantage of people in a vulnerable position. Also something ***** is that he doesn't have a secretary and keeps his office doors locked. He won't answer the door when you knock and won't pick up phone even though you can see him through the glass. I personally have never dealt with a situation like that. We were told by the court that he failed to file on time and then didn't show up to the scheduled court date.
