My family and I were at the park on 8/20 when Americas Same Day service came out to jump us. ***, the owner, called *** aka ***** out to jump start our vehicle. It was jump started in 10 minutes and gave us a hand written $88 receipt after I had spoke to *** over the phone and gave my card info. *** said that we would need a new alternator/battery and it would take approximately 2 hours to complete. He asked that we got the parts and he would only charge $88/hr for 2 hours of labor. We get the parts the next day on 8/21 and called *** to have *** come out. *** calls and makes arrangements for 4pm to work on the car. He comes out at 3:45pm and starts working. We explain we can really only afford 2 hours and he is now claiming it will take 3 hours. *** took 4 hours total, lost several important car parts to our vehicle, admitted to being a felon, complained and said to never call him back out to this car again after having issues putting on the belt (of which he used 2 hours and had my partner help him), spoke very inappropriately and admitted to still being high from that morning all to tell me at 8:30pm the battery we had was incorrect. I paid him for his time (3 hrs). On 8/22 I retrieve a new battery, put it in as the last step according to ***, and my car immediately starting making an awful noise/heavy smoking. We noticed the belt was damaged and there is fluid spewing from my vehicle. I contacted the owner who wanted to send the same person out who made my vehicle worse, did not provide ANY OFFICIAL receipts, and is now refusing to contact me about a refund. I let him know I was not comfortable having him back out at my house and had the same mechanic call me twice. I am now having to tow my vehicle to a licensed mechanic to have my vehicle fixed and *** the owner is now ignoring my messages/requests.Business response

April 27, 2024 America's Same Day Service Co sent a repair to our home because our 5 year old Whirlpool Side by Side was not cooling for the freezer or refrigerator .************************* arrived at our home on the same day in the afternoon. It didn't take him long to say the compressor wasn't working. He quoted a price of $450 for the new and $450 for the labor. He asked for payment. We wrote him a check made out to America's Same Day Service that day. I have a signed receipt and a cancelled check . He found the serial number and called someone and he relayed it would probably be here Monday. **** called and stated that the compressor was here and he would be at our home Tuesday morning around 9-9:30. He arrived at 9:15. He quickly stated that this compressor was larger than the one that had been in our refrigerator. He worked and worked. Talked on the phone to someone, I'm not used to working this way. I am used to doing it the right way. He made several trips to his car for tools. He begin to solder the compressor. He worked and worked. Soldered and soldered. He to leave to get more Freon. Around 12:45 he stated that he has used all the Freon but would need to return tomorrow and put more in. He stated that it was running but let it cool down before putting food back in. Around 9pm I checked again on the ref to see if it was getting cooler. On 5/19/24 the electrician came out to install a new ac unit and breaker box. This is for a home owner**;s inspection report that needs to be fixed. None of the things that should be fixed is. They did install a new ac, but the ac unit does not work, and did not install the dryer into the ac unit claiming it didn**;t need it. The breaker box was replaced from a 150 to 200 amp. They were supposed to put in multiple breakers in the box, instead they ran all the rooms to one breaker. They put a bigger wire in so it doesn**;t catch fire, but there aren**;t individual breakers for each room in the box (three rooms are running on one breaker). They were supposed to change wires in the attic that are bare, the bathroom flickers, there is a big wire outside that needs to be put away. They claimed to be back the next morning but we didn**;t see him for 2 days. We called the boss who owns the company to report what**;s been happening. He asked if we could give him another chance, to which we agreed. We waited all morning 5/21/2024 another person came in to look at things and said he couldn**;t work on it because he wasn**;t a master electrician, also saying he was a roommate to one of the people in the company**;s girl friend, so we asked him to leave. Today, 5/22/24 someone showed up, but the person who did show up was someone who doesn**;t have a license and is not trained to be a electrician. Apparently the company doesn**;t have a master electrician. I**;m glad they told me what was going on. Apparently the company doesn**;t have a master electrician. I paid about $5,000, $4,000 for the ac unit and the electrical work was about $1k and there was supposed to be more I pay, but since things weren**;t being done right I haven**;t paid the rest as of yet.Business response

We have worked out a settlement. We got the air-conditioning unit operational today. Were going to refund the customer $1000 and hes going to hire a licensed electrician.Initial Complaint

12/30/22 I went out to Same Day Service because they advertised a newer stackable washer and dryer for $500. When I got there they appeared to be a fairly new machine. The manger said that both had been checked out, and the reason he had it was because it had been too small for the previous owners. When I turned on the dryer, a half gallon of lent blew out the aluminum hose, giving me an indication it had not been checked out. There was also a small pin hole leak in the drain pipe of the washer, which also indicated it had not been checked out. The manager sent repair people out 3 times to fix the fact that the machine would not drain out all of the water. About 6 weeks ago he sent someone out to repair the washer and it ran two full cycles and drained, but it hasn't drained since then. I've had another local repair person look at the washer, and he put a piece of equipment on it, but it still is not draining completely.Business response

They worked on our water heater and couldn't fix it. They charged me $241.00 which I paid and they were out here three times. They supposedly put a new ignitor in but it still wouldn't stay lit. I called them back and and they said they would refund the money. I haven't received it. We found another company to fix the problem. The other company said the ignitor hadn't been replaced.Business response
