I have a toilet that is leaking from underneath and causing damage to my wood floors. Beis came out, misdiagnosed the issue and charged me over $300 for repairs that werent needed and were not causing the issue. I contacted Beis to inform them of the situation and their response has been what do you want us to do about it. They have not offered to resolve situation and will not take any responsibility for the situation. I have paid over $300 for something I didnt need and have further damage to my home due to their misdiagnosis.Business response

Client charged me 650 dollars to fix a pipe leaking in my ceiling under an upstairs bathroom. The exact same spot started leaking again just two years later and o Calle dot have them come look at it. I asked if it was the same issue, as it appear it was, if they would fix their mistake. I also said if it was a separate issue that coincidentally was happening in the same spot, I would pay for them to fix it. The service manager said they would not fix it even if it was their fault and then on top was ride and hung up on me.Business response

Dear Mr. **************** take all customer concerns seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address this matter. Below is a summary of the original service provided and our response to the concerns raised.
Original Service Summary:
On September 8th, 2022, our technicians, ***** and ****, were dispatched to address a toilet leak reported by the customer. The customer initially attempted to replace their wax ring independently, but the toilet began leaking directly into the ceiling below when flushed. Upon inspection, we determined that the 3 toilet ****** was improperly glued, which was the root cause of the issue.
We provided the customer with an estimate for the necessary repairs, which included:
Replacing the improperly installed toilet flange
Resetting the toilet
Checking for leaks
The customer approved the estimate that stated no warranty could be provided due to the unknown variables involved in repairing and resetting previously altered plumbing. The technicians performed the agreed-upon work, verified there were no leaks, and ensured the area was cleaned before collecting payment.
Addressing the Current Concern:
The current issue being reported occurred more than two years after our original service. Plumbing systems can degrade or face new issues over time due to factors such as normal wear, environmental changes, or improper use. Without physically inspecting the current situation, we cannot definitively determine whether the leak is related to our original work or if it is a new, coincidental issue.
However, as noted in the original estimate approved by the customer, no warranty was provided for this work. This policy was clearly communicated due to the pre-existing and uncontrolled conditions present at the time of service.
Customer Interaction and Resolution Offer:
With the warranty that was offered (one year) being expired, we are unable to offer a refund for work performed over two years ago, we would be happy to send a technician to assess the current issue at a discounted diagnostic rate. If the issue is found to be related to our previous work, we will take appropriate steps to resolve it fairly.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. Please let us know how we may proceed to assist further.
Sincerely,
***** ********

On 6/21/24, Beis Plumbing LLC ("Beis") completed the replacement of my water heater. During the installation, Beis employee **** ran a wrong water line, which caused water to leak out of the ceiling and he had to put a water bucket on the ground to collect all the water that was leaking from the ceiling. About a month later, I began to notice discoloring in the ceiling and suspected it was due to the incorrect waterline being run by **** at Beis. **** came out on 8/8/24 and admitted fault, took pictures, and said the issue would be in the hands of manager *****. ***** came out to inspect on 8/16/24. He said they would fix it and noted that **** had caused the damage. After not hearing from ***** for weeks, I followed up and was told he would call back but he did not. Eventually after a frustrating call with the Beis phone operator, I got a call back from *****, who said he spoke with the owners of Beis and said they were not liable for the damage caused, even though **** and ***** both admitted fault. Additionally, the phone operator stated in early August that if they caused the damage, they would fix it. I am asking that Beis repair the damaged ceiling to its former state before they leaked water throughout the ceiling. This is not a difficult fix and would not take long for them to make this right.Business response

Dear *****,
Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. At Beis Plumbing, we strive to deliver high-quality services, and we take customer feedback seriously. We understand your frustration and would like to provide clarity on this matter based on our findings and documentation.
On June 21, 2024, our technician **** replaced your water heater. During the installation process, an issue occurred involving a water line that resulted in a temporary leak. **** addressed this issue promptly onsite by turning off the water and minimizing further impact.
On August 8, 2024, after you reported noticing discoloration in your ceiling, **** returned to assess the situation. During his visit, it was identified that the water damage stemmed from an abandoned icemaker line, which you informed **** was safe to connect to. Unfortunately, this line was not actively in use, and water leaking from it led to the ceiling discoloration.
On August 16, 2024, our manager ***** visited your property for further inspection. After a thorough internal review of the incident and discussions with our team, it was determined that Beis Plumbing is not liable for the damage. The determination was based on the following factors:
1.The icemaker line was described as safe for use during the initial installation, but it was found to be improperly abandoned and capped.
2.The issue arose due to pre-existing conditions with the abandoned line, which were outside the scope of our work.
While we deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused, our records indicate that our technician followed instructions provided onsite and took reasonable steps to mitigate the issue upon its discovery.
We value your business and take pride in resolving issues when they arise. In this case, we believe the damage resulted from factors beyond our control and unrelated to the scope of our work.
However, we would be happy to provide recommendations for trusted professionals to assist with ceiling repairs if needed.
If you have any further questions or wish to discuss this matter in greater detail, please dont hesitate to contact us directly at [phone number] or [email address].
Sincerely,

I began calling Beis for plumbing related issues a year ago. *** spent a small fortune with them on necessary repairs and new toilets to my home. Yesterday, 6/18 service person, ****** came out for a backed up line in my kitchen that had my dishwasher backing up and left standing water. I soaked up most of the water with towels before he arrived and removed the them. He used my plunger to move the clog along. I paid the service fee of $95. He then told me that usually when you run the dishwasher, the standing water will go down. He then began pressing buttons and ran my rinse cycle and left to sit in the van outside of my home for almost an hour. I called Beis around 5:03pm when I went to open the dishwasher to put the rack back inside and found the heating element had melted the sprayer arm that was laying across it. Its dead stuck now and the dishwasher is yet unusable, again! I was told someone would be back out to look at it tomorrow or Friday. It was Wednesday. Fine. However *****, called me today (Wed) to so call ask me what happened when she had already made up her mind that they were going to blame me. The service person didnt put it back nor ask me to move it. I assumed, he being a professional, hed moved it back into place once the water receded. ***** then told me that we dont service dishwashers. So why did he run my dishwasher without my permission if Beis doesnt touch dishwashers? ***** was definitely condescending, then confronted me, blamed me, interrogated me. I asked her multiple times for a manager or the owner. She refused to escalate the matter in the moment. They have to make it right and not blame the customer/ victim. ***** told me shed have the owner listen to the call, I take that as a way to intimidate me, to make me back down. It didnt work. This establishment owes me for damages as I want them to file an insurance claim and I want a public apology for being mistreated.Business response

**** called because her kitchen sink was draining slowly and the dishwasher was not draining either. Since the dishwasher was not draining properly, ****** had to test the dishwasher once he cleared the drain, to ensure the job was completed and everything was draining properly. This does not require opening the dishwasher, only pushing a button on the front of the dishwasher. When ******, as **** stated then told me that usually when you run the dishwasher, the standing water will go down., she failed to mention to ****** at that moment that she had removed the pieces of the dishwasher so they were not fully secured inside. Since ****** did not remove the pieces inside of the dishwasher and **** did not mention to ****** that her dishwasher pieces were not securely installed inside of the dishwasher, we are not responsible for damages to the inside of the dishwasher.Initial Complaint

The company came out to do a minor repair (change a gate valve to a 90 degree elbow and soldier in a ball valve.) The plumber left my home without replacing my grounding wires because mine were too corroded. He told my wife he was behind for the day and asked me over the phone if that was ok. Initially I said yes and after thinking about it, I think having my home grounded by a licensed and professional plumber makes more sense because its a safety issue. I called the service manager back and they were unable to make arrangements to have a plumber come by my house after hours meaning after 4pm. So **** wanted me to do my own repair, at my time and expense while still paying $1250 for this service and wouldnt make an accommodation to meet me at 4:15 at my residence. Oh and by the way there is a leak in the pipe when they left where previously there wasnt a leak. If theyre wanting me to complete my own work my bill should be adjusted accordingly, also I feel like Beis shouldnt have left my home without the grounding wire in place especially since its a matter that deals with safety.Business response

Beis Plumbing LLC, ***********************************************************************. ***** ************ On June 14th of 2023 my next-door neighbor located at ************************* Mo. ***** had a new water line placed in the ground. She hired Beis Plumbing LLC of **************. This line required the shared driveway to be dug up about 500 feet. During this process and the company's failure to call Dig rite they struck the *** buried phone line disrupting services for several days. When Beis Plumbing returned to complete the work they installed the new line and covered the ditch. They left several trees without enough dirt to live, the ground was not covered properly and the disruption in natural vegetation, grass, slop for water runoff, and the driveway has caused issues with sinking vehicles during rain. I was forced to haul rock in due to the impassibility of emergency vehicles to get through in the event it was needed. The owner and operator were asked to make needed repairs in an effort to bring the property back to the condition it was, and he refused. Multiple attempts have been made to get this issue resolved without success. Our resolve to this would be driveway repair, excavation of the land to level it back off, grass seed and straw. I feel this is not much to ask considering this is private property and not an easement or public road. Thank you for any help in this matter.Business response

Beis Plumbing did not do any work for this complainant. We had a contract with the neighbor for the plumbing repair work. The work was completed and our customer has always been happy with our work and condition of all of the areas worked on. We have done what is outside of our contract by bringing 2 tons of rock in for our portion of work in the utility easement that is not required. After which this neighbor shook the hand of our service manager and thanked him. Prior to our work, locates were called in for this repair and AT&T was not marked where it was hit. We had AT&T out the same day to make the necessary repairs. After correspondence with these neighbors we offered to do more rock and sod at additional pricing to correct corroding that was already present in the area. The customer that we did the work for even provided $500 to the complainant for any further rock he wanted to have. We have since had numerous harassing messages on multiple media sources from this complainant, his wife and son. We even have an intoxicated voicemail left in the middle of the night to our service manager. We do not have any contract with this person and went beyond the scope of our contract with our customer. We backfilled and graded the entire area that we worked on and came to lay seed and straw to fulfill our contract.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:
This is private property and there is no easement. There was never an offer to me for sod or repairs, maybe the other neighbor but not me. The company did bring me some rock, not near enough but it was appreciated. All I asked was for them to use a machine of some type to help level the yard that was covered with dirt after they dug it up for water line placement. As far as the rock on the driveway, yes it is very messed up and will require tons of rock. The contracted person payed me 300$ not 500, and it is for repairs to her driveway not mine. I would be happy if they brought a bobcat or tractor out to regrade along the driveway in an attempt to level the ground out so I can seed and straw it. I was never intoxicated and for the record have never harassed anyone. I have been professional and respectful this entire time. I am the one that provided your crew members water to drink, a hose to clean themselves with and anything else they needed. All I want is a level backfill job so I can get rock down and grass growing again.
Sincerely,

We called this company out to do some work on our Jacuzzi tub upstairs. The tech cut off everything that was working, but realized he couldn't get the new stuff to work. I showed up at home and asked him what we should do. He said not take a bath or move. I called the company about this situation. They said this wasn't their practice. They sent another tech out and he moved the stuff and cut up our tile. He got it working. We took a bath and water is leaking from the ceiling. He forgot to hook the drain back up to the bathtub. I called them and they sent a painter and drywall person. He said he didn't see any mold. He said he would find a paint match. Then they scheduled the tech to come out in two weeks. No one came out and then it was a month later. I called them recently and I told the secretary. I asked for a callback and no one called back. I've been dealing with this since February 2022.Business response

Hello,
We have rectified this issue by hiring a contractor for the work that was needed for repairs. He repaired the drywall and even offered to paint match, then paint the entire ceiling. We can provide invoices that we have paid by ******* *********** if requested. The issue was not from the install, it was a part defect that we replaced and corrected. We have done our part and reached out to the contractor to set up further work. Once we hired the contractor we informed the customer that we would pay but would not be responsible for scheduling.
Thank you,
Beis Plumbing

I am rejecting this response because: They have sent out inexperienced workers, they have destroyed out bathroom and it still not repaired properly for all the damage they have done. They left the drain disconnected in my bath tub that left gallons of water to drain down on my kitchen ceiling, I have a big white patch in my kitchen on the ceiling right underneath where the bath tub is. They should have connected that drain.
Sincerely,
***** ******
