    On January 8, 2024, I took 7 children to Defy Jackson. I purchased jump time for all the children and the person ringing me up told me she had a way for me pay less. I had 7 children, a line behind me, the place was loud and I never understood that I was signing a membership agreement. It was my understanding that I was signing waivers. I never received a copy of this membership or any heads up that a monthly charge would be deducted from my bank account. After the shock of noticing a $134.75 charge for my own children and the rest of the children I had with me on 1/8/24, I attempted to call the company multiple times, but was unable to leave a voicemail. I sent messages to the corporation, but heard nothing back. Finally a person provided an email address and I received a response with a copy of the contract attached. I am unsatisfied with this response and feel like I was taken advantage of during a stressful time. I am not the only person this has happened to. I just want my money back and I want this company held accountable for taking advantage of its patrons.

    The customer was issued a refund on 02/12/2024. We have over 2000 loyal members here at Defy and all of them enjoy the benefits of membership. It's a very simple process which the customer has to sign off on and they receive a confirmation email as well. Issue is resolved where membership is cancelled and refund processed.

    Consumer beware ??? 3/18/23 we had bought a party room package for *****’s birthday at Defy ** • the crowd was way above fire code I’m sure • the water fountains out of order - kids jumping saying they are thirsty . The vending machine not working . The drinks that I paid for would not be available or released until 30more min - kids are hot and parched and no drink to give them • the party room we were assigned was double booked - the other people placed in our room were moved after thirty minutes of grief trying to get this sorted out - no party room attendant ( there was someone that brought gifts and cake to the room ) - restrooms had no toilet paper or paper towels - upon asking to speak to a manager , was told that there was a large crowd today and the party booking happens offsite . After explaining that we were unhappy and inconvenienced for this block of 2 hours and that costs $270.00 We did not get what I paid for or was told that would happen for this party . This place was not staffed enough for the large crowd . The crowd number in the building was a safety hazard . No water fountains . No drinks for the public. No public relation oriented management was evident . The young workers had no supervisor and were stressed . This person then said that we could get a free water bottle ?? like no -how about a refund or half of our money back for this trash show I would NOT recommend this place of business

    I'm going to paste the last email I sent to the company here, but basically, my son signed up for a membership to the Defy jump park here in Jackson. He tried to cancel. I have tried to contact them, but they don't respond. They double charged him at first. And have continued to charge him after agreeing he could cancel. Thanks for your help. "It has come to my attention that in July of 2021, your Flowood, MS location entered into a subscription contract with my son, ****** *********. He was 15 at the time. He had no intention of entering into a subscription with your company. In the past 10 months, he has not used this subscription a single time. When I found the charges on his account and confronted him about them, he informed me that he had contacted your company three times to cancel. The first time was via your website. Then he went in person back to the Defy park to cancel. Finally, he returned to the website and tried again. In response to this third attempt to cancel, he received an email assuring him that the subscription would be canceled and that he would not be charged after September of 2021. I have included an image of this email below. ****** has been charged 14 times by your company. It appears he was charged twice in July, August, and September, then once in October through May, with the most recent charge occurring last week on 5/16/22 (see below). Obviously, these charges were in error. I am requesting your assistance in resolving this matter. I have no issue with ****** being held responsible for the first 3 months of payments, even though he never used the subscription after the first day. However, he is entitled to a refund for the double charges and the charges after September of 2021, totaling $181.90. I believe his account number is #*****************. This was from an email I found in his inbox. I think there may be a second account number as well. That may be the source of the "double charges"."
