Hello. My name is ********* ******* and I am a customer of the Precision Tune Auto Care in Gulfport, MS. My car started to jerk when I was driving so I decided to bring it to this location due to prior service I had a year ago. I dropped it off on Monday May 8th. The diagnostic was done while I was there, it gave a code for the O2 sensors. ***** told me that the code given was most likely the problem. He was gonna get with ******* and when he’s done his diagnostic check, they would get with me to discuss the problem. I received a call on Wednesday to say ******* did his check and it was the O2 sensors. I agreed to the repair because I was told by 2 employees that that was the resolve. Thursday I get a call from ******* who tells me that the sensors were put on but it was still jerking so he THEN CHECKS the spark plugs and I now need new spark plugs. I was given a total of $756.23 for the O2 sensor work and now with the spark plug replacement I was told I was looking at about $1200, that’s $500 more just for 6 spark plugs being replaced. ******* stated that the spark plugs would definitely fix the problem. I agreed to the work because I need my car. I called Saturday morning to check on the vehicle and was told the spark plug work was complete. I arrive there with a male friend of mine and my car was up in the air. When ******* was done doing a oil change, he talked to me and told me that my problem was not fixed, he suggested it maybe the catalytic converter. I declined any more work because my bill was growing more and more by the day. My final total was $ 1082.80. After some discussion it was discounted to $965.15. I am totally disgusted. How can you charge someone almost $1000 and the problem was NOT FIXED. I ended up taking it to a “shade tree” mechanic and got it repaired in one hour and half. It was the ignition coils. I had to replace 2. I feel cheated and I am angry. How can you cheat people out of their hard earned money and laugh and smile in my face. I was contacted on May 18 by **** who informed me No Refund can be given and only offered me a store credit for the amount I was charged and he also asked me to take down my review because it was hurting his business. The audacity!
