I initially went to look at campers on November 11th 2023 after looking at several models some where older. I decided on a 2023 open range I specifically remember this because of the salesman convinced me too by saying, don't get an older model because the prices are the same so you might as well get a new model a 2023. Fast forward exactly a month later we are called in to do a final walk and sign paper work that confirms I'm purchasing a 2023 so at that time I didn't see any discrepancies. Finally it is delivered next week December. First day of delivery I was not at home but camper back tire on a flat called the Dealership they said that the delivery guy said it wasn't on a flat when he delivered it and Dad's camper said there is nothing they can do about it I have to call for my warranty and I said the first day of delivery? After that day its been a complete night mare had plumping and electric installments done got ready to use the camper and the water tank fell to the ground with a bunch of wires everywhere the material was dry rotten as if the camper been used and sitting told Dads camper weeks later they sent out guys to repair but they had to order parts the tank and among other damages they found when I took pictures there was more disturbing sights of duck tape more rusted dry rotten. Only when I received the registrations I found out the camper was in fact a 2022 nothing new about it. I got the run around by dad's camper was not returning phone calls and when I did get someone I was insulted called a liar even though in the contract I signed for is a 2023. Through the hold process we have been in contact with the finance company Marine One (********* was financed) and they have been told different stories from Dad's Camper. I wish I would have never did business with DAD's Camper. I'm out of a lot of ********** down payment and all *****. They are very deceitful, My only resolution would be to cancel the contract and they come and pick up the camper.Business response

In Nov 2022 we bought a camping trailer from Dad's Camper Outlet in ********, **. On our first trip after using the slide 5 or 6 times we noticed the floor getting chewed up by the slide. We called ******** and offered to send pictures to the service manager. They informed us they did not need them as they already had pictures so Dad's apparently had knowledge of the problem before we bought it and sold us a defective RV. The trailer was basically unusable to us from early December til May.The morning of pickup, the service manager operated the slide several times to check everything and noticed the floor getting marked up again. They replaced the floor but never fixed the cause of the ripped floor. The faint marks can still be seen. They then broke some weatherproofing trim at the bottom of the slide. On Sept 14 they repaired the trim they broke in May. They asked if we had been having trouble with the slide going in and out or blowing fuses. We had never had a problem with that! Apparently while fixing the slide trim something happened that caused the slide operation to not work at all. We dropped it off in late Sept at the ******** location and drove down on Oct 20th to pick it up. They put a 30A fuse in for the slide. I also asked about getting the correct tool to manually move the slide if it ceases to work in the future. They had no explanation as to how the slide could be manually moved. The service tech took pictures so they could try to find out how to manually move the slide. They had relabeled the legend of the fuse panel by putting a new stick-on legend over the original legend. All are labeled as 15 or 20A but there is a 30A near the top and a 25A. This seems like a potential fire hazard if the 20A designation of the legend they put in is actually correct, and likely violates our warranty for this unit. We have no way to manually move the slide.Dad's is sales with dysfunctional service departments. The business is a joke.Business response

We at Dad's Camper Outlet thrives in **************** and Relationships. That is the reason that plenty of our customers drive and fly in to see us. To ensure that we gave Mr. and ***************** ************* we have done the following:
They were having issues with their Local Dealerships scheduling them a service appointment, in a timely manner. They called us and told us their situation and we scheduled them an appointment immediately. While their camper was in our possession, to make sure they didn't miss their camping trip. We gave them a rental to go camping at no cost to them. When they returned from their camping trip, their camper was repaired and ready to go. When the camper left our facility, it was 100% repaired. We did a walk around with them and they were satisfied with the repairs.
They stated that they wanted us to reimburse them for Multiple the trips to us. They only brought the camper only came to us at the ******** facility one time, and it was a quickly scheduled appointment, because their local dealers could not get them in their service department fast enough. We cannot control how far a customer is willing to drive to do business with us. But we can control how the customer is treated and ensure that they get the best service that we can offer.

I could give negative stars I would. Dads Camper… ha. They are a joke, and they do NOT care about their customers. I bought my camper from them over a year ago and have been having the same problems with my camper since the moment I handed that check over to buy it. The same problems aren’t from them reoccurring either, it’s from them NEVER fixing it the correct way the first time. The latest time my camper was on their shop, their employees didn’t even screw things back together, I got 1/4 of a mile down the road headed home and the whole underbelly flew off. Did they care? Absolutely not. Have they fixed my damaged underbelly, no. The past manager sold me a camper that he new had major problems with. The new manager seems to know they are running a shady business and after the numerous attempts of getting him to contact me or give me his bosses info, he won’t respond. They are the worst company I have ever had to deal with but unfortunately I’m stuck dealing with them bc of the shitty camper they sold me. I just wish someone in their company was compassionate and trustworthy. If you are looking for a camper to buy, do what I wish I would’ve done. RUN and by run I mean far away from them.Business response
