I had to go to weeks without air conditioning even though I had a warranty that was supposed to cover fixing my A. C. Unit. The man came out, he could have just fixed the compressor instead. He deemed it unrepairable, which means I had to get an entire unit for outside I'm a single mom with a twelve-year-old daughter. I'm also a straight commission sales **** so I don't make that much money. Climate king told me that if I could give them seven thousand eight hundred dollars, they would have come out that day and fixed it Climate king told me that if I could give them $7800, they would have come out that day and fixed it. But because I didn't have money like that and I wanted to go through my warranty, I had to wait **** 2 weeks to the point to where I thought I was going to have to be admitted into the hospital because I have high blood pressure and other health issues. I have no one that I could have stayed with to help. They finally came out after I had to call the news station and complain, and then they still made me pay nine hundred and eighty five dollars, even though I had to go two weeks and I was even throwing up towards the end of the two weeks from the heat. After I paid the 985, they told me that I was supposed to pay an extra 3% for the credit card fee. I told them I didn't feel like I should have to do that, but they told me I had to go back in and pay that amount, so they added an additional twenty dollars as a separate charge After I paid the 985, they told me that I was supposed to pay an extra 3% for the credit card fee. Even though the unit is fixed now, I don't feel like I should have had to pay $985 and I haven't been able to buy groceries for weeks for me and my child. I want my refund of $985 from climate king. I came home from vacation Sat night. My AC was on 77. I was unable to fix the issue. It stopped spinning outside completely. I have a warranty through 1st American home warranty. They set me up with Climate King who could not come out until Wed.I went ahead and accepted the appt. I have gone over 7 days without air. I do have a window unit downstairs, but it is not helping. Because I have a 1700 sq foot house. A 12 year-old child and 2 pets. I also suffer from high blood pressure and other medications that I need to take. And it's over a 100 in *******, **. I know that I need a new condenser & the part is ready to be picked up and installed. When I called on Fri. they said that they could not fit me in and it would be Mon or Tues. I called Fri evening and spoke with the answering service who had them call me back. I spoke with her who called me back, who I'd also. and ***** as well. ***** told me that they were not working this weekend, even though they say in their answering service that they are open on Sat 8 to noon. I begged her to come out before the weekend was up and told her I would pay the difference in price which is $975 if it would make it go quicker. She told me that "nobody was working this weekend and if I didn't like the way they did business, I could go find a different contractor" I called 1st American back and explained my situation to them. They told me that they would call them back that it would probably be Mon. I don't know who to talk to or who to get out, but it is too hot in *******, ** there's a heat advisory, it's over a 100 outside and one winter unit downstairs, and 1 win a unit upstairs is not cooling.This is an Emergency I want a call from an Owner, Boss or Manager or owner FYI: I still have no air conditioning. I have a minor child and 2 pets, and they want me to wait 2 to 3 more days and 100 temperatures in *******, *** to have air conditioning. This is unacceptable, and they still expect me to pay $975 out of my pocket.Initial Complaint

(Please see attached letter sent certified to Climate King for details) Climate King was contracted on 5/17/23 by my homeowner warranty program, First American Home Warranty. Their intial visit was 5/22/23 and they diagnosed a bad compressor. After several days of delays caused by Climate King, First American authorized a brand new unit vs. just replacing the compressor. On 6/3/23 Climate King installs the new AC unit and I pay them $1904.60 for "non-covered" charges. The unit begins blowing hot air 45 minutes after they leave (this is a Saturday). 6/7/23 a supervisor, ****** ******, visits my home and runs tests. He is going to have the tech, ******, come back out and redo the dryer and the TXV valve as they may have been overheated during installation. 6/9/22 ****** is back and puts in a new dryer and valve. The unit cooled for a couple of hours down to 79 degrees in my home and then it began blowing hot air AGAIN (Friday night). 6/12/23 after 5 ****** is back and diagnosis the brand new compressor is blown as something keeps overheating it - will replace via the manufacturer warranty. No leaks in the system so wants to request a new coil. 6/20 I obtained two 2nd opinions and requested a new contractor be assigned by First American but they indicated that Climate King was under contract so they could not change. I advised that I think Climate King does not know what they are doing and that they are the problem and not the new unit. 6/26/23 ****** is back to install the new compressor and a coil. They damaged my attic light fixture /cracked the ceiling in the process of getting the old coil out /the new coil up there. I had to pay 668.75 for "non-covered" items during this visit. They left around 8:30 p.m. 7/15/23 2 a.m. we are awakened to a hot house. 7/18/23 **** ******* with Climate King visits and indicates the compressor is blown AGAIN and wants to replace and also install new lines at a cost of $1391 to me. I obtained a contract with AHS. I filed a claim on my air conditioner that went out at my house on July 2022. AHS assignment a company called Climate King to service the claim. To this day that service has not been completed. I made multiple calls to Climate King and they have given me the run around and show little concern for the status of my claim. Climate King even had the audacity to tell me to call the air conditioner manufacturer, which is not my job. I made multiple calls to AHS and received even less concern for my trouble. In the State of Mississippi, we have experienced historical high temperatures such as 101 with a heat index making it 115 degrees. In fact the room that the air conditioner I supposed to cool, is currently unlivable. AHS has not suggested to replace the air conditioner with one that has all the parts, or offered any compensation. This company was recommended by my mortgage company Mr. ******. I filed a complaint to let Mr. ****** know what shady, unprofessional, and incompetent business, AHS is that they recommended. As I still wait for service to be completed, I hope and wish none of any of Mr. ****** customers have to experience this. Thank you in advance for your attention.Business response

Thank you for your feedback. I have researched this situation and the problem is with the manufacturer warranty company. We can not go any further on your repairs until they send us the compressor that they are warranting out. When we are dealing with manufacturer warranty, our hands are ties. We do not make the unit, we only install and repair them. This is why our CSR gave you the option to call the manufacturer your self to see if they would help you as the customer since they will not help us or expedite this for us. We in way were meaning this as to be rude. We want to help you as much as possible, however some things are beyond our control. We would be happy to give you a retail price to change the compressor without going through the warranty. If you would like this option, please call our office ************.Initial Complaint

My Home Air Conditioner went out in my home. American Home Shield agreed to replace it, I called Climate King everyday to see if there were any updates. Negative Response every time I called them. No professionalism, Rude attitudes. On Friday American Home Shield stated it would be delivered on Saturday to Climate King. I called Climate King on the Same Friday and they agreed to receive it. Saturday came I called Climate King and they stated the Warehouse was closed and wouldn’t anything until next week. I asked about how soon could I get it installed when it came in, the reply was I don’t know. I have explained how imperative this issue is! Temperatures in my house are reaching 88 to 91 degrees. And Every time I called Climate King they act as if they are nonchalant. I don’t know if they are prejudice or they just don’t take don’t have any empathy towards human Beings. I pray this is my last time ever having to deal with them. I had to buy a Wall unit to put in my Bedroom to keep my Wife and Disabled Son Cool. I’m totally disappointed and dissatisfied.Business response

I do understand your concerns on getting your unit replaced as quickly as possible as the heat in Mississippi is unbearable during these hot Summer months. After looking into your account with our company, I see that you are a member of a home warranty company that we work through. Please understand that the ordering of equipment and receiving of said equipment through the warranty companies is sometimes a bit of a process. Our company tries to do everything we can to expedite this process, but unfortunately, it is often not quick enough. I can assure you that the time of the process nor our scheduling or any communication with our customers is ever effected by the gender or race or religion of our customers. We respect all of our customers with the same respect we would expected to be treated with. With that being said, I see that we did get your unit installed on 7/31/23, if you have any issues with that install, we would be happy to fix it for you asap. I see that you would like to speak to a corporate manager, however, we are not a part of a corporation. Climate King was sent to my house Jan 25, 2023 through my home warranty company to repair my heat. They came out found out that I needed a new heat kit. When they came to install the heat kit, the technician wired the heat kit wrong causing a domino effect of the blowing different parts of the unit. They blew the transformer, burned out the relay, and the circuit boards. They sent me a quote telling me I needed to replace my entire unit and want to charge over $3700. I have called multiple times attempting to speak with a supervisor, manager, anyone regarding the technician and the mess he caused and them wanting me to replace an entire unit that did not need to be replaced until their technician wired the heat kit wrong causing my entire unit to go out. My fiance called and the owner of the business refused to offer any sort of a resolution. I have had several technicians come in to examine what Climate King did and what it would take to repair my unit. I was told by these experienced technicians that, due to the heat kit being wired wrong, it blew the transformer, and burned up the circuit boards.Initial Complaint

I made my first service request to about my A/C on 5/4/21 through my home warranty service American Home Shield. My temperature would not get below 77. They sent out Climate King as my service provider. A month later 6/12/21 I reported the same issue again and they came back out to repair my A/C. I made another call 7/8/21 same issue. Then again 8/11/21. On this date, I was told it was my furnace. I had to wait an additional 2-3 weeks before they sent a technician out. Plus I was charged an out of pocket cost of 882.75 for items covered in my contract but ********* said it was for code modifications and that's what was also reported to AHS. Service completed 9/2/21. My a/c went out again and i made a service call 9/21/21. This time, coil and condenser was installed. My out of pocket charge was 1920.65 for items that were also covered under my contract. The contractor did not come out until 10/5/2021. So for the entire summer, my family and I suffered without properly working air. There was never any urgency, ********* told me that I would be priority since we had been without air so long. When I called back to the company, I was told that ********* is not responsible for the schedule. 12/25, system failed again. I made a service call the next day. Someone was scheduled to come out on 12/27. They never called or showed up. The following day tech came out and stated that power cord wiggled out and he left. That day it was warm outside. He turned my heat up to 80. I when to turn the air on and it was not working. That was 15 mins after he left. I called to report the issue and ask could he come back. He didn't show until 8p. **** came out the next day to check. He end up replacing the mother board. That worked for a month or so until my AHS contract expired. I REFUSED to renew. In March, I had another company to come out. They found blown fuse thrown on the attic floor and a short in the wires to condenser unit and 6 inches of duct trying to cover a gap near r plenum
